4:50 One of the coolest things about the mp40 in this game is the attention to detail on the reload animation where they made it look like your character is actually pulling the mag is upside down when the character pulls it out from their mag pouch which is was standard to have the magazines upside down in the pouches

Glad to have this video on my Recommended, I love Battlefield 1 with a passion. M1911 is my personal favorite gun of all time, in games and in real life, but the all other pistols in the game are so fun to use, half of them I need to unlock so I can't wait to get my hands on them!

i love using gasser m1870 with the mp18 trench or hellriegel, the high range and stopping power makes up for a relatively short range smg playstyle well and can finish enemies well if i get caught in a pinch

I'd contend that Battlefield was not the trailblazer for dynamic reloads, it was the game series to bring such attention to detail to mainstream casual gaming. There were smaller projects like Firearms: Source dating way back to the '00s. Firearms: Source was far and away more detailed (for its finished weapons, at least) than anything on the scene at the time. You mention counted reloads, For its revolver, the five-shot Taurus Raging Judge, FA:S had about three or four individual animations for ejecting rounds, and five individual reload animations for each count of rounds to be reloaded. It had individual reloads for the M24 sniper rifle as well. There are something like 20 reloads for the SKS because the game features several magazine modifications. For its finished weapons, there was a lot of detail for handling and reloads, some of which are still unmatched in nearly any video gaming space. Firearms: Source has Battlefield 1 beat by at least 5 years. Battlefield was not the trailblazer, not the game to take the first steps toward detailed gun handling, but it was the game to make it cool. DICE&co took that small animator level of passion and applied it to a big-budget major title.

The PIAT is literally derived from a spigot mortar, the reason it sounds like that is because it is essentially spring-loaded.

About the fleiger Faust vs aa gun. The fleiger can two shot most planes, AA guns have to constantly pepper their enemy. And the Faust allows you to be way more hidden and unpredictable, the aa guns make you extremely vulnerable to snipers, other planes, and even the plane you’re attacking

Kinda angry that they gave the m1919 such a low fire rate when the one depicted in game is actually a modified aircraft example with a fire rate of 2000rpm.

Are you sure you're not thinking of the AN/M2 Stinger? It's different from the M1919A6 in game which was more or less just a normal slow-firing M1919A4 with a lighter barrel and a stock and bipod attached.

The sticky grenade is underrated. I usually will throw it at the back of a tank or at infantry as I run by, by the time they turn around my team can use that chance to push. Though most usually it gives me a chance to ambush infantry and distract tanks for a while. The range and delay can be GREATLY utilized.

I think the No. 3 is better than you give it credit for. It’s slow due to the single action, but I don’t find that the fire rate gets in the way as much since you have to aim pretty carefully with revolvers anyway so you don’t whiff shots. The No. 3’s best traits are the fast reload and the draw time. It’s got the fastest draw/deployment time of the revolvers if I remember right, so you have a better chance of pulling it out and getting the first shot out faster. And sometimes the enemy will be weakened already, so one shot might do the trick. That combined with the super fast reload makes it better than a lot of revolvers in my opinion. However I do agree that the MkVI revolver mostly outclasses it. They probably could have balanced the No. 3 a bit better to give it some nicer positive attributes. But I still think it’s pretty awesome actually.

I actually found that I did really well using it too, plus it's one of the best looking revolvers alongside the Gasser and - dare I say it - the Peacekeeper. However at the time of writing I stood on those stats which were unfavorable. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Regarding the mad minute hand placement, while obviously possible there is little official documentation of training of this style of grip. It is mentioned in some close quarter manuals as a “possible” or alternative way to aim and fire but historically I have yet to see any officially published documentation regarding the use of ring finger shooting as an official method.

@kuzidas42137 күн бұрын
The peacekeeper was so far and above the best pistol in the game, that if it WASN’T such a bitch to get, people would have complained that it’s OP. The animations alone made it worth the pain in the ass to unlock. But the power… man, it actually walks the walk too.
@stunningandbased55167 күн бұрын
Honestly, getting the peacekeeper isn't as insane as I thought it was, just longwinded. There is like 8 parts to it and each one is fairly straight forward, there is only one part (a conflict) that can seem like a wall, still doable with a friend an excel-sheets. Also the gun is absolutely worth it and outclasses most other handguns in most cases.
@cartho11038 күн бұрын
When I was going for a service on every weapon, the nagant revolver was by far the most frustrating weapon. Kolibri wasn't that bad because I expected it to suck and never relied on it, but the nagant was so unreliable when I needed a backup weapon

your description of the springy sound for the piat isnt too far off from how the actual piat works. im no piatologist but if i remember right its essentially a spring loaded dildo that gets shoved into the back of that mortar and sets off the small charge that actually launches the thing. ive heard that its very uncomfortable to use
