In addition to the height of the obstacle, the 8X8 Fat Truck can overcome difficult surface terrain (non-compact ground and snow). Super powerful.

Very cool indeed and great question. The Fat Truck is NOT a Sherp. The Fat Truck is Canadian made, and the 8X8 has a hydraulic motor on all 8 wheels (no chains or belts), has a single joystick to operate it, has automatic safety brakes, has a certified ISO 3471 ROPS, and what I feel is most important we DO NOT use exhaust gas in the tires, we use fresh air. That’s why we are able to safely operate the machine with the window closed 🤔

The traction on all 8 wheels and the assistance provided by the cameras allow for easy reverse movement on any terrain. Excellent performance.

Yes, the cameras make a BIG difference. The Fat Truck has huge mirrors to see clearly which is a bonus. Safety is paramount!

8x8? Or 8x4? Are the wheels on the trailer driven?

What looks like a trailer isn’t. It is connected to the main (front car) and is fully powered. A regular Fat Truck has a 74 HP engine while the 8X8 has a 173 HP engine to power all 8 wheels via hydraulic motors.

I’m going to be in mine at my duck club in a few hours. I still have flooded corn and I’m going to watch the 1000’s of ducks that are using my field on the way back north. I pull out in the middle of the field, open the front door and just sit and watch.

No, way better than a Sherp, built in Canada, not Russia, only need a joystick to control it, not three levers and two pedals, and can counter-steer instead of just pivot steer. Way better than a Sherp for the same price as a Sherp.

@@secondmouse9458 so basically we did to Russia what see the Chinese doing to us. we literally copied the technology made some minor adjustment and called it our own! Despicable.

@@gjolau I wouldn't call the Fat Truck a minor adjustment over the Sherp, it has a whole different drive train being hydraulic as opposed to clutches and brakes in the Sherp, which allows the Fat Truck to have a single joystick to control it and allow it to counter-steer or in laymans' terms move the wheels on one side in the opposite direction of the wheels on the other side, enabling a zero radius turn, very handy off road in tight situations and something the Sherp absolutely can't do since it can't turn opposite side wheels in different directions, it can only pivot steer by braking one side and powering the other. Fat Truck has taken the concept of the Sherp and improved on it 100%, something the Chinese rarely do.

Maybe you can loan one unit to a university that I am working now as a demo unit. We can demonstrate its capability as flood or disaster relief vehicle to authorities in Malaysia. We have a severe flood in 3 states in Malaysia and the response are limited by using MAN 4x4 truck and Toyota Hilux. So far, Sherp has not landed yet in Malaysia.
