Great axe, but that wouldn't be as easy with a gnarly australian hardwood

That maul is all Gimmick. Also dull axe heads are always best for splitting. Nice work chipping off the edges. The lightest head that will do work is usually what I go for. Lots of axe heads out there have the profile to split well. I love my double bit for splitting 👍🏽

Doesn't hitting the ground damage the axe much? Great video anyways I'm planning to buy one of the shorter ones

There is no way that this axe is viable in any way. Everyone is saying that they fall apart. It's more of a novelty item and not a true life-long lifesaving, hobby and labor tool. But the rest of the companies collection is incredibly well made.

Plan on buying the x27, I believe I have the x15 now and love it but need something for bigger logs. I imagine I'll have to put a little more umph into my swings to make up for what I assume is about an eight inch difference in height 😅
@kostas0101512 жыл бұрын
Why don’t you consider putting one log onto another, to protect the blade from the stones of the ground? An elastic rope around the log would help the pieces to keep together, instead of travelling around.

I like that he got right into it! No messing around; something about chopping wood; good for the soul! Nice technique, and that axe is amazing! Just got one and can't wait to put it to some good use. Thanks for the video!
