In the CN Freight train emergency stop video, that was not actually an emergency stop. The defect detector might have detected a hotbox as soon as the train went over the hotbox detectors. Or, They probably had to stop for the other train to pass in the siding.

Why is it that Canadian crossbucks have no writing on them and only a red border around the edges? In the lower 48, our crossbucks have the words "RAILROAD CROSSING" on ours.

Further - DPU stands for Distributed Power Unit, Not Deisel Power Unit. The DPU in the middle of the train is Radio Controlled from thwe lead engine. Any locos directly behind the lead loco are directly controlled through internal connection.

There was only ONE DPU! The two locomotives at the head of the train are not DPUs - They are the main Consist of the train.

Very nice. Might want to give the young 'uns some earmuffs or headphones to lessen the noise. Then they can watch without harming their hearing.
