Btw I didnt hear you mention it but on my vanguard the pushrods are the same length but they aren't interchangeable one is steel and one is aluminum was yours not?
@TheSpecialist_121 күн бұрын
On this particular Vanguard, both were aluminum rods with steel end caps. We dont have a lot of these engines come through so i can’t say that all engines are the same, but it could be possible in certain applications that either the intake or exhaust side could have a different material of push rod. As long as you read and follow the service manual on valve adjustment, you should be ok.
@213BRANDONP25 күн бұрын
Is this common? I recently replaced a vanguard 21 out of a truckmount carpet machine it has been a nightmare after installing it ran fine for a couple weeks than started making noise around the balancer i pulled it apart and the stator bolts all had vibrated loose till they hit the balancer ended up bending all four and all four broke off during removal anyway fixed all that it ran good for a couple months now its misfiring i mean damn its only 6 months old and I feel like using it as a boat anchor
@jdcatsanchez25 күн бұрын
yes sir we found a few to have the wrong lash or valve play you can google the right gap.
@TheSpecialist_121 күн бұрын
This is not very common. It can possibly happen if the rocker arm adjustments are not torqued properly, and eventually loosen and lose adjustment. In this case, i used a bit of thread locker on the rocker arm adjustment nuts so that they wouldn’t back off. Have not seen this unit back in for this problem since

My 2014 5.7 with 90k miles has coolant leaking into cyl 8. Never had an issue with it, regularly changed oil at Toyota. Really infuriating.
@thehydraulicspecialist31762 ай бұрын
Yes, I can’t say that this truck was treated badly. My customer bought it from somebody else and along the chassis. It had a lot of marks like it was off-road and it possibly ran you know conditions, but you are the second one that I hear or that I know overhead gasket leak.

@thehydraulicspecialist3176 *update Towed my car out of the dealership to a Toyota specialist, he ran test on my car for about 4 days and concluded that I did not have any coolant leaking into my cylinder, he said absolutely No evidence. Changed all my spark plugs and the Coil on cylinder 8. Parts ,Labor, & Diagnostic came out to about a grand VS. The $7100 that the dealer wanted for a head job service. Truck is running great! 🤷🏻♂️

Good to watch someone else replacing these corrupted clutch assemblies supplied to Vermeer by some misfits. The clutch always goes out like this under normal use from not lubricating the sliding grooves on the throughout bearing. Dust accumulates between the PTO output shaft and inside of this throughout bearing that will bind the 4 pins that are supposed to "glide" within the slots of the PTO collar. If you inspect the throughout bearing you will notice that these 4 pins will eventually grind themselves away if not cleaned and lubricated. BTW, Can you supply the part number for the throughout bearing? I don't think you mentioned it in your video. Carolina Clutch does not supply these throughout bearings any longer.

Not tied down, tail gate open, 3,300 lb strap holding gates closed -- machine realy weight is 10,000 lbs but you are right that it has 21,000lbs pull back force and a forward thrust of 17,000lbs but the machine it self does NOT WEIHG 21,000lbs , that trailer tires would have blew out and axles would have busted just from the transition of drive way to road. Look up before posting lies and making your self an uncredited source of info !!!!
