I don’t get it

Does anyone know if IRIB shortwave broadcast get's yammed? According to shortwave DB they are broadcasting with 500kW also to Europe. While I easily receive Voice of Türkiye, I never receive IRIB.

What is the point of this? Im confused how comes it just sounds like economic and news reports and its in Engish. Is it supposed to be like for Westerners to listen to? The news reports are interesting, but the music sounds older than my grandma. I dont know many Westerners that would have a radio at all (maybe cars still) nevermind one that could pick this up. Obviously excluding radio aficianados.
