How do you clean the soot from the stringer?
@EquinoxGlass21 күн бұрын
It will burn off in the kiln, but you can also use some windex and a cloth to clean it.

Hi, I was searching for information on how to tack fuse small projects and you popped up. Can you share the temperature you used for the little flower pieces? How long to hold it and any additional tips for success? I’d appreciate it. I have little 1”x2” pieces I’d like to fuse, but what I’m finding is larger projects. I imagine the size of the pieces are important in the process. I’ll want to fire several at a time, so I would think that needs consideration as well. Thank you for what you can offer. BTW….I’ve Never fused glass before so I’m a total amateur!
@EquinoxGlass4 ай бұрын
Hi there, I would suggest you look up a schedule from the manufacturer of the type of glass you’re using. That would be a good place to start, then you can adjust it from there. Every kiln is different, so the temps and holds I use won’t really help you. You can fire as many pieces that fit in your kiln at a time, that shouldn’t affect the schedule. Happy fusing!

Thank you I’ll do that. It’s Bullseye glass.they are who I watched but for bigger projects. I’ll chat them tomorrow for specifics. Thank you so much.

What size is it? How much does the tent, with poles, weigh? Take your table cloth and center on your table, put a running stitch around the top edge of your table. Then iron it, lay it out fold the sides in. Then roll it up, pvc or a pool noodle
@EquinoxGlass5 ай бұрын
The tent is 10x10. I haven’t weighed them, but I can carry the tent or the poles by myself. The manufacturers might have the weight listed, I linked the product in the description box. Thanks for the pool noodle tip!

What a nice idea. I think I'll try it with a 3mm clear cut base. (you getting the hole in the center of the shape was very helpful). Then I'll build the fine frit on top of the clear base. The best part of this project is the sun will never fade the colors. The stone agates in my project have faded in direct sunlight. Thank you for sharing. I always enjoy your creative projects.

Awesome wind chimes. I make all my jump rings too. If you get an aluminum rod from the hardware store, cut it about 10” and put it in a drill you can wind up 3 feet of wire at a time.

I would have put something clear on top like very fine clear frit... Or put everything onto a clear square so that it has something solid and maybe do a tack fuse. I'm new but have viewed other stained glass creators... That was always something they do to make a panel.😊

Are the mesh panels in addition to the standard sidewalls that come with many of the canopy tents or do you have to remove the sidewalls to allow for the mesh panels? Some of the fairs are multiple days so I would want to make sure my glass is secure and safe from the weather, etc. Thanks you so much for this video.
@EquinoxGlass8 ай бұрын
The side walls from flourish company are an additional purchase for a canopy tent. I’ve left a set up overnight during questionable weather without incident, but you’ll definitely have to experiment with your own set up!
@Cindy-fd9dj8 ай бұрын
@@EquinoxGlass can you have both up on the same wall at the same time (the sidewall that comes with your tent and a mesh panel)? They would basically be hanging together
@EquinoxGlass8 ай бұрын
@@Cindy-fd9dj my tent didn’t come with walls, I purchased the separately. But yes, you can hang the wall behind the mesh panel. It just gets a little crowded on the poles with all the Velcro straps.
