I know it was meant as a joke - but there are m0rons out there who indeed read a book or do their nails when flying VFR on autopilot. So, please do not encourage them - they might believe you!

very nice to see 👍 I have 2 questions: 1) What made that you weren't impressed by the P-51? 2) I have planned t go this year myself and I have planned two days. Would you say that's enough, too long or too short?
@TheFlyingDutchgirl6 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! 1. Thing is that the cockpit and propeller are not relation to the aircraft. We have seen the real P51D Mustang and this (although beautiful) is slightly disappointing to me. This is always an issue with downsizing aircraft. 2. In my experience two days should be enough. There are 2 rows of 4 to 5 exhibition halls. So you can spend one day in each section.

We just picked up a 2023 Sinus ATC designation "PISI" she pissies all over the fuel spectrum! Our 80 HP Rotax at 55% power keeps us top of the green at 88 knots indicated burning 2.2 gallons per hour. 8 liters per hour for our lovely non US aviation buffs. 25 gallon tank so only about 11 hours duration and that is without gliding. Build your hours for the airlines efficiently and have some great stories to bring to the airline interviewers!

My grandfather Jim Shuttleworth owned and flew Scatt VII for years, unfortunately in 2003 he crashed and passed away. I believe it was rebuilt in Belgium and still flies today.
@TheFlyingDutchgirl10 ай бұрын
I didn't know about this crash and I'm sorry to hear that your grandfather died tragically in it. I looked it up and the wreckage was subsequently salvaged by John Lane of Air Power Unlimited in Idaho and restored into an airworthy Mustang. The magnificently reborn Scat VII was purchased by Vintage Flight Foundation in Belgium and is actively flown and proudly displayed in Antwerp. I think your grandfather would have been very proud to see how many people enjoy this Mustang. It is always the star of the fly ins that we visit. Thanks for your comment, and take care.

We are experiencing some very radical changes in the US as far as light sport and experimental aircraft. Mosaic proposed rule change will make light sport unrecognizable. Sling will be able to build their aircraft and sell them as light sport and not experimental 1. Weight will increase from 1320lbs to 3000lbs 2. Speed will go from 120knots to 250knots 3. Constant speed prop 4. Retractable gear 5. Helicopters for light sport 6. Night flying as well 7. Air work for hire 8. Turbine and multi engines allowed 9. Stall speed from 45 knots to 54 knots 10. From two seaters to four seaters allowed.
