Has anyone measured from drop to landing distance? That's got to be over 70 meters?

He would make an average goal kicker in Australian football.

As epic as the drop goal is, so is the authenticity in the reaction of the commentators. They just maket rhe drop goal even more fun to re-watch over and over again. Makes me have a little giggle at their surprise too. Forever a Springbok Legend.

This guy had a legendary career built entirely off talent. If he worked hard he would have been the best player ever.

Or If he was afforded the luxury to make only one position his own. He was like Wayne Rooney. Could play anywhere and succeed, making it look like child’s play He was phenomenal and pretty much the complete rugby player

I come back here every now and then to watch his kicks.. only regret is a never watched him kick one of his long range goals live. You’l never see a player like Francois steyn again. Unreal
@Waywind4208 ай бұрын
If you liked this drop goal, you should go check out Reece Hodges penalty kick against the All Blacks. He kicks from about 55-58m out, the ball sails through the swirly wellington wind and doinks the top of the upright with enough energy to make the post sway like a waving, wacky, inflatable tube man.

I think this ball boy was the weirdo in the locker room that was watching guy’s meats and talking about them. That’s prob why he treated him bad. The ball boy was a major weirdo

Him throwing the warm ups down and not to the ball boy is kind of like the time his hair pulled the same thing and fell off in a lakers game. It was the boomerang of Karma knocking "the kings" crown off!

What happens if he kicked from inside his own 22 and missed, and it went dead on the full? Is there even a rule for that.

I was a kicker for my team when i was playing rugby. Only problem is i was a flanker but i had a hell of a boot on me. Ive scored penalties from 50m and conversions from the centre of the park to the touchline. Best penalty kick i scored was from 55m i just hit it as hard and as i could into the wind and it curled straight over the posts.
