Please note that Uganda gained its Independence on 9th October 1962 and not 1963 as stated in the video. Nonetheless, thank you for your commendable work covering African history

If youre going to tell the story of Amin how can you tread so lightly over his security forces and the reign of terror they established? ( and what happened to all the intellectuals of his first cabinet) How can you omit the murders he carried out personally? How can you 'forget' to mention his cannibalism and the body parts found in his freezer and fridge after he ran away? And above all why dont you discuss the Amin's Islamic policy (in a country with a minority of Muslims) - Or the fact that his entire administration concentrated power in the hands of his tribe who were mainly people of Sudan. They were a Mafia who could steal and kill and rape with impunity. During Amin's time no road was safe to travel because the police or the military set up 'checkpoints' everywhere where you had to pay - either with money or your life.

You believe in propaganda. Amin was never a cannibal. Any African that liberates his people, Western supremacy puts dirt to his name. Grow up!!!

@Boviss1Bovis
@Boviss1Bovis Күн бұрын
@@musiclyfer Not enough has changed, honestly. Idi Amin was chosen for promotion as a non com officer Because the British thought him stupid. They also wanted to promote marginal tribes like his as a counterweight to the popular traditional aristocracy. It was part of their ages old policy of divide and conquer. But Uganda had been a jewel of the British Empire. The British left behind a modern infrastructure, a good economy and a functional legal system which was independent of the central and local government institutions. It only took Obote and Amin 10 years or so to destroy all of it. Like Obote and Amin before him, Yoweri Musaveni came to power on a wave of optimism. And like Amin and Obote before him, after a few years of improved government, the Kleptocracy was restored along with a police state designed to keep the leadership clique in power and obscene wealth forever. It is the perfect model of post colonial Africa. This is what has happened from South Africa all the way to Libya.

You African so-called politicians/leaders think about self, individualism, ---- instead of the collective spheres of the people, Africa ---! This is the main problem plaguing Africa 🌍, the African polical atmosphere and such actions must change going forward in Africa 🌍!

This type of content should be banned. Biased and full of misinformation. The investigation shows the plane was shot down by a missile from the military camp and Kabombe airport, which Kagame's people couldn't have access to. Plus, Kagame wasn't in Rwanda at the time. Habyarimana was killed by Akazu, Hutu extremists who were angry with him for agreeing to share power with RPF. Another evidence is, those accusing Kagame of shooting down the plane, are the ones who got to crash site first and hid the black box that could help reveal what was said on the plane before being shot down. The genocide was pre planned by Akazu, Hutu extremists, weapons were already bought, machetes have been distributed among Interahamwe, the Hutu youth who carried out the genocide and this group was already created. As soon as the plane crashed, Prime Minister Agatha Uwiringiyimana who was a Hutu was attacked by Hutu Militia and killed because they knew she would not support their genocide. She had already refused when they suggested it. Stop disrespecting our history. That's like trying to find a reason why Osama Bin Laden did what he did on 9/11 and justifying it or putting the blame on America instead. France which was accomplice in the genocide tried to push the narrative that it was Paul Kagame's people who shot the plane, but Rwanda and international investigators won the trials that it was Akazu. That's why France is trying to revive the relationship with Rwanda and asking forgiveness for the defamation it did back then. If I had power, I would delete your post and ask you to do your research and post things basing on facts rather than your opinions.

As young as I am, I didn't live during his time but be held high esteem in Africa and beyond shows how great he was. It's quite unfortunate that some of our own (Ghanaian) politicians and political leaders will belittle him. It's a shame for someone to think Nkrumah isn't the Founder of Ghana, especially if that said person is a president at the moment or will be ex-president soon. So unfortunate...

It means most Equatorial Guineans are mad, these people are so brutal and rude. They're are neighbors in Cameroon. They are so xenophobic. Killed a lot of Cameroonians despite depending so much on us for food and education. It got so bad in a year our government suspended foodstuffs from entering their territory. Today Guineans are still the same majority act like they lack brians. These people are our closest neighbors, but they keep biting the finger that feeds them _ Cameroon. It's now most of them are rushing to be educated, they flooded our schools and cities in the early 2000s until we casted them out because of xenophobia against Cameroonians in Equatorial Guinea.

france is the last colonial empire in Africa. They have military bases all over their so call 'former colonies' which they control through puppets that they installed at the head of these African states. They overthrew President Gbagbo of The Ivory Coast who won the elections in 2010 because he wasn't submissive to them, he wanted full Sovereignty for his country ant the closure of their military base. The french installed ouattara to maintain their control on the Ivory Coast with their colonial currency Franc CFA still in circulation and their military base that they turned into a french territory in the Ivory Coast. Their currency Franc CFA allows them to take the resources of 14 African states for free since it's the same colonial money they crated in 1945 and they print it without the control of the African states that use it. french neo-colonialism is alive and well in Africa. African states must stop exporting their natural resources and start transforming them to create more jobs for Africans on the continent. African gold reserves must be stored to back Africa's future unique currency to match the dollar, euro and yen. These are what france is trying to prevent from happening to keep looting the wealth of these Africans countries.

France owns the CFA Franc currency of 14 African states including Ivory Coast, Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger. france is the only one to print this colonial currency without the control of the African countries who use it. This enables france to get Africa's natural resources for free and finance rebels to overthrow non submissive African presidents without spending one euro.

alassane ouattara is the BIGGEST PUPPET of the west. He was installed on power in 2010 by the french army in pools of blood of the Ivorian People, after bombing the city of Abidjan and the Presidential Palace with Gbagbo the President re-elected in it.

The split in Sudan to Sudan and Sothern Sudan today is majorly because of the often forced marriages and impregnation of black African women by Arabs. Now those progenies sees themselves as privileged because of their Arab fathers and the other black Africans that are not of mixed ancestry as underprivileged or slaves.
