Jet Stream is not better than Log Jammer was. It had a much better setting, layout and drops plus the log boats looked much better than the weird boats

During Halloween season they would run one side of the original Colossus backwards using Psyclone cars and it was awesome

Was unfortunately on the train on Batman the ride at over Georgia on the same day the teenager got hit and was on the exact train he got hit on I was in the second row and heard the girls scream in terror they told them about it and the ride was closed for the rest of the day I haven’t visited six flags over Georgia since 2011

It’s strange that I have been going to the park since I was maybe 8 years old and I don’t remember El Bumpo at all. I barely remember Dragon. I do remember seeing Galexy but I never rode it. It sort of reminded me of the rocket rides at Disney land and I used to be afraid of those. At least I used to be afraid of the height. Doesn’t make sense when I loved roller coasters but that was before Revolution and Colossus were there.

I skipped the 90s at the park for the most part. I guess I lost interest and people I was friends with did as well. Although I did go back in 2001 shortly after Goliath popped up. It was then I rode Goliath and Batman. I liked Batman but Goliath not so much. I haven’t rose ir since ans even my old favorite heart coaster Colossus made me jumpy. Why I don’t know. Went back again in 2004 for my company’s annual picnic. Rode Riddler’s revenge for the first time and at night! Yeah pretty scary AF at the time. Viper was cool. I didn’t feel any head banging or pain that a lot of people complain about. At least nothing that was memorable anyway, and Colossus was Colossus to me and could do no wrong as far as I was concerned. People complained of roughness. Well I swear I didn’t feel anything. Again nothing that I could remember. Although I do remember that block break where the double down camel back used to be. That was not there before and it did make a different on the final course of the coaster as it slowed it down going around that corner on the inside.

Oh my God Curse of the Spider, I remember being Freaked out walking through that Haunted Maze, it literally felt like spiders were crawling all over the Walls when touched the Walls, & on a Postive note im Friends with the Guy Played the Giant Spider in that Maze Joshua Norton !

Flashback was the most painful ride I have ever ridden. I was so pissed by the time I got off that thing!! I can laugh about it now, but that thing was painful!!

I remember these rides! The Jolly Monster I called the Octopus. The Log Jammer used to be one of my favorites. The Spin Out was popular too. And of course, Colossus!

I also remeber the accident in Colossuses with the death of Carol Flores. That was scary at the time because Colossus had just opened and it was intimidating. I mean I was 11 at the time and too young to ride… at least according to my parents anyway. It was sad what happened to that girl and it occurred because she was a plus size woman and apparently the safety bar wouldn’t lock properly. I remember after the incident they closed the ride indefinitely and when it reopened they installed seat belts. The first time I rode Colossus I was maybe 12 or 13! It was a wild ride! Double track. It was fun because you kinda raced the other train. You could call out to them while ascending the hill. This roller coaster was so fast and it was a smooth ride. Almost 3 minutes long. Used to ride it backwards too! Now I think I am becoming my mom, who hated roller coasters. She was afraid of them. I still like them but they scare me at the same time. I do think they are safe despite the accidents. The one involving Carol Flores is a tragedy brought on my human error. She should not have been allowed to ride. I am not fat shaming anyone but for your safety if the restraints don’t fit properly… even if they are locked it’s best not to ride. It’s not alway ls about weight either. A couple of years ago a friend and I wanted to ride a roller coaster but my friend had a bad hip and she could not position her leg or bend her knee in a way that made the safety lap bar go down far enough to be safe. She wasn’t heavy at all yet because if her hip she couldn’t safely ride so we had to get off the ride. However there were plenty of other rides she could go on. Like the inverted ones or the standing ones without a problem.

I liked Log Jammer for its length and how it went so high up the side of the mountain (oh, hi Gold Rusher!). At one time in the 70s they seemed to have a plan of placing similar rides at opposite sides of the park: Log Jammer/Jet Stream; Gold Rusher/Mountain Express; Swiss Twist/Himalaya; Spin Out/Electric Rainbow; Big Bloop Bounce/Teen Tank.

Road flask-back when new at six flags in California , it was the best ride at the park by far. I don't even know why it was so good. say 15 years later or before they removed it, i road it again and it hurt, not sure if they changed the seats or what, but whatever they changed made it the worst experience ever!

We went to Magic Mountain about a week after that woman died on Colossus... ive always heard that the woman was only about 5 '1" and severely overweight/obese.. thats why the lap bar wouldn't lock.. she was just too big...
