Can you add a border to this blanket? Very beautiful blanket!
@crochetdreamzАй бұрын
The stitch is quite stretchy, so it is kind of hard to add a border.

I wish there were videos with the different sizes although I know that would take too much time. I am such a visual learner. Tried reading through the steps on the blog and it was just too overwhelming.

I am relatively new to crochet and I think I’ve done okay on this beanie if it weren’t for the yarn I chose. But my question… I am on the next to last row for toddler size, “second to last round” …. I cannot decipher the ch1 space… can someone please help Mr? Thank you

I cannot thank you enough for this video!My gram passed before I was born and I inherited a beautiful blanket she crocheted, looks identical to the pattern in this video. I started crocheting a few years ago, and always wanted to make one like hers but could never figure it out. Finding this tutorial makes me so happy ❤

This is a lovely pattern thank you. I've made two of these now. Just thought I'd share a tip with everyone. If you wanting the fake cables always to show the top of the chain and not have them twist, working left to right - then you should insert your hook from the top of the top line of ribbing and insert the hook from the bottom on the bottom line of ribbing and not insert the hook through the ribbing loops only from the bottom. This creates a neater chain which will not twist. You working a zig zag pattern so ideally you should turn your fabric, so on each side you then inserting your hook from the bottom. If you dont turn the fabric, then one side will be from the bottom and the other side from the top.

I was panicking because my friend is about to have her first baby and I really really wanted to make her something but I had tried some kits and beginner instructions online and it went terribly every time. However, other than using a much thicker yarn and ending up with a slightly comically large hat (I’m going to make another and give her both), I sat down and made an entire hat the day before I saw her. Thank you so much, this was so simple and clear to follow and now I’m so excited to try other crocheting projects. My only question is how do you stop the yarn unwinding itself from the trimmed parts when it’s fluffy yarn?

You can go back and forth 3 times to securely weave in the ends.
