The stitch is quite stretchy, so it is kind of hard to add a border.

Surprisingly, the blanket is thick but has amazing drape. A 34 X 37" blanket took 330 yards of each of the 2 colors.

( sheh-NEEL ) yarn. Chenille is a French word that means hairy caterpillar... oddly enough, that is derived from the Latin canícula, which means small hairy dog ...which was derived from the word canis meaning dog. So apparently, French people think that a cute Maltese or Yorkie or some other small hairy dog looks like a hairy caterpillar and thus, named them, and this yarn, chenille.
