What was the estimated swell and wind? I have a 4.8 meters tinny but the furthest I can go is long reef lol. What location do you put in your app to check so far offshore?

I have seen smaller boats out there 4.8, I think seas below 1.5m and low wind and improving forecast for the end of the day is what I would be looking for. You can put this location for 12 mile reef on Navionics. 33 55.659S 151 28.508E

Sorry another question: which rod are you using? I couldn't quite make it out when you said it in the video. Also do you think rollered rods are a good idea (especially if also using them for trolling)? I just bought the Next 300 reel - very similar to your Poseidon SL50 (which I couldn't find in Australia) just a slightly different gear ratio.

South Head, North Head of sydney harbour,Long reef, 12mile reef and the peak. This time of year Kingies also along the cliffs from Sydney harbour to the royal national park. Get on a kingie charter here will be best bet.

Similar but it is a Poseidon 50SL. max drag 30KG weighing only 345 grams for just abit over $300. The handle is adjustable on the fly too. Can be a slow jigger. Someone's unboxing here kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fcqFp8WrxriWZZ8.html

@@JaydenHarrison-ud7zf It is hit and miss. Your boat size is ample capable, If newish engine then you shouldnt have a problem. Bring some livies and decent size sinkers and have a drop.
