i actually finished RS3 and stopped playing after croaking fighting mid/high tier bossing. i stopped because i already know i wouldn't be able to fight max end game bosses without setting keybinds and don't have the dedication to commit to it and moved to OSRS and enjoying the progress right now at Barrows. RS3 had so much Dopamine to skilling and reaching 99 a lot more then OSRS. i still play RS3 btw though.

When I was 18, my friend who was a little older than me downloaded this game to try to get his 7 year old son into video games. His son hated it, but my friend ended up playing for years after that. Despite making fun of him, I downloaded it at one point and played for a few months. It's a solid game with a bit of over monetization for the time. Perhaps now it doesn't seem that way anymore. This was the first MMO I recall seeing that had a subscription as well as an enormous cash shop. Unfortunately par for the course today.

Basically people want to see their characters clearly in good graphics. Hence Black Desert Online. They want good grind type games that are ACHIEVABLE if you put the hours. MMO🥲

@waydot I don’t know if you had the issue with accepting terms fixed but I found that getting the launcher from swtor itself to launch after you accept it through that you can move the Eula.settings file it generates into the game folder on steam so you no longer have to keep accepting the terms on startup

Why is every youtuber just doing agnostics... They all end up hating it, they all continue doing it. Not the games fault man. I appreciate that you talked about it with skepticism, but in the end, most of the video shows you doing agnostics. They are meant for players to enjoy a small number of dungeons, in a group, without having to all be the same level. They are NOT however meant to be used as a leveling boost for new players! Lets not even talk about the whole "enjoy the journey" part. Instead let me ask this, what would your next goal be after you were "done" with agnostics? I can confidently answer that for anyone reading this. Nothing. Your next goal would be to go offline since you have no clue what character you are even playing, what your abilities do, where to go or what to do. That is THE BIGGEST PART OF THIS GAME. You will grow into your character! You will level up, gain 1 or 2 new abilites, read them, and put them to use. If you just skip to level 100 (there are cash items that do that btw) then you will experience exactly what you did in this video. Ability bloat. Thats only because you have no clue what they do. There will be backstabs, ranged attack, snares, dot's, aoe's, threat minimizers etc etc. And with cooldowns, attack & cast speed you actually need this many.. Should you play this game again, here is some advice. 1. Dont rush this game and dont rush yourself. EQ2 will take your hand and lead you everywhere if you just let it. 2. If you need help, get a guild or go into general chat. There are guilds with level requirements but generally you are fine at any level. 3. Your first "goal" on a new char is to get a horse. Ask people if you have to. For any casual player they are dirt cheap. 4. Put overly simple, the "older zones" are better than the new ones. So try to really enjoy levels 1-80. 5. Dont focus on the end-game. I can only repeat what others told me but apparently you can grind for half a year just to be useful, when max level can take just a couple days. Its all about your gear, knowledge and skill. In that order. So just toss that in the bin and enjoy the game below lvl 100. 6. Try writing an ingame letter to "Umrakor". Helpful bloak, I heard.

I played around 2006/2007 and I am pretty sure it took about a year of play to get up to level 50. Leveling was meant to be slow and it was common for players to level lock a character to complete more quests and gain AA points. Leveling too fast was seen as a bad thing. Mercenaries did not exist and soloing a dungeon was not usually possible. So you had to either join a guild or risk making a party with strangers. Apparently, mercenaries were added in 2011 when EQ2 became free to play. And yes we had guides in the form of the EQ2 forums. Talking about older mmo skills, some skill were meant to replace older skill, but beyond that most players used the in game macros.

Every time I'm positive about any game in any video this comment shows up. It's illegal to advertise on youtube and not disclose that information. I know it's hard to believe someone might have positive takeaways about a game that you thoroughly dislike, but please don't accuse me of a felony in the process lmao

@Waydots fair enough, it just seemed like such a rubbish, rip off, B grade game I couldn't really fathom anyone actually liking it, but my opinion has no actual basis i just like to argue online when I'm bored sometimes, sorry waydot i hope you have a good day

Perpetuum was a fun game, I remember finding it and playing it with my group back in 2014, it was heavily inspired by EVE online but the devs just kind of abandoned the game before it came to steam, and eventually gave the source code over to the community to continue developing the game.

You should do a video on "Eldevin". I got super hooked on that MMORPG when it came out. It has a very nostalgic feel, with the music and graphics. But practically nobody plays it anymore. I'm truly surprised the devs still keep it going. The majority of updates are all just holiday events now, but I really wish that game would've gotten more recognition. I feel like it could've gotten up there with WoW and RS.

Really awesome to see people getting into wiz in 2024. I have been playing off and on since I was 10. I’m 22 now and I always come back to beat the new worlds when they are released. A lot of people don’t realize that below the surface of the first couple worlds and the kids game stereotype the game gets really intricate. I wish it was accessible for more players bc it can be expensive and the game has a lot of potential.

You should look into a game called Gods of Zushin, it used to be called Zu Online and there is a single guy running a server and finishing the translation from the Chinese version. The game came out around the expac of Cataclysm for WOW. I use to play this game all the time, but since it disappeared because of translation and marketing issues, I had to find other games to play. I miss the game and I've never met anyone who's known about it before.

It's always fun watching new players get into wiz I do appreciate you giving this game more of a chance than most MMO reviewers Although some parts of the game are pay to win pvp wise. I've always thought a majority of this game is great. If they boasted the story more and made the first world free and advertised the need for membership. My qualms would be few.

I didn't even know this game was a thing, that is on my to download list next time I'm on my PC. Thank you for sharing this. I love that they want to keep these games alive and show you the active player counts. Same as the few Star Wars Galaxies private servers that are around. There is just something about newer MMOs that can't match these older titles. You give me SWG class depth with updated graphics and an actual quest system or storyline I'd sign up tomorrow. Thank you again for this content, just recently found your page and have subscribed.

20:44 Oh yeah, there's ways to get around the staggering that the enemies do. Its all in combat style, perks, and weapon with weapon skills your using. Utilizing "Grit," "Fortification," and "Uninterruptible," abilities and perks helps offset and and in most cases completely nullify the stagger issue u were having. Read into the skills and perks to find a way around this issue u were having.
