PF2 is the better system for experienced players, 5e is better for casuals.

wait so... would it be possi le to have essentially a railgun be your weapon as an inventor?
@Zedrinbot17 сағат бұрын
well, the inventor modifies a weapon, doesn't make a brand new one from nothing. A bonafide sci fi railgun would be more something you'd expect from Starfinder, which has 1e currently and will be getting a 2e remaster before long.

My biggest pet peeve is when people say guns are too op to be put into dnd, like bro we have spellcasters stopping time itself to spam fireball and straight up wishing people out of existence, and martial classes like monk running up walls and barbarians shrugging off damage like it’s nothing whilst I’m in the corner crying, desperately trying to fix my gun because it misfired so I can do SOME damage before the fight ends

Probably never gonna play it. (I typically just buy/read the books and don't play) But the only reason I got into dnd was cause I confused it with pathfinder, and thought it had summoners. But Inventor, Alchemist, and Summoner sounds so cool. Imagine an Atelier oneshot where you have to play alchemists/crafters.

A LOT of these just feel like sub-classes that some designer / writer couldn't let go of. A.G.

good video buti cant stand the "its a fantasy game there for logic should go out the window" reasoning for anything. not so bad here, sure let goblins wield weapons three times their size it doesnt matter. but logic shouldnt be ignored just becaues its a game. thats a slippery slope in to having a really dumb and un immersive game
@Zedrinbot4 күн бұрын
Honestly I recorded so many times cause it's hard to put my thoughts into words. The big thing with weapon sizes: it's actually *more* realistic for small races to use medium weapons. Reach was a massive factor in martial warfare, and for a small race to even have a snowball's chance in hell of competing with taller races, they would need longer, often hafted weapons capable of reach. It's so important that they would've developed their own techniques for crafting them if medium sized ones weren't good enough. The heavy property only exists as a holdover from 3.5 where weapon sizes could be interacted with by players, it is not a property meant to support to realism or immersion, nor does it offer any benefits mechanically. Plus, it's not really immersion breaking to imagine a smaller character with a big weapon, it's a really common trope in fiction.

So... To Be Honest, Those Trashy Mobile Game Ads & Especially That Mobile Game That Had Copied Your Video; Because Usually, That They Are Just Fake Just To Get Players To Play Game. When The Game Itself, Is Literally, Not Even Like The Ads They Show. I'm Not Criticizing You About The Bunny Bot Dance Video You Made Zedrin. I'm Just Saying That Trashy Mobile Games & Their Ads Are Just Trying To False Advertise & Attract Attention To Viewers Into Playing The Game. Still, Nonetheless; Your Bunny Bot Dance Animation Is Way Better Than That Copy; Since, The Copy Is Just Terribly Animated Of How The Girl Dances, Her Dancing Just Slows Down Then Speeds Up. By The Way, Your Still A Talented Artist & Animator Zedrin!✨✨✨💖💖💖 ( ╹▽╹ )(◕ᴗ◕✿)(✯ᴗ✯)(☆▽☆) Love Your Art & Animation! 🖌️🎨

that's a good thing! That's where you should start. Get good animatic poses, add the impulse frames, then interpolate.

Guns are not more overpowered than a 9th level spell. It’s ok for martial classes to keep pace.

It's a hard G for GIF.
@Zedrinbot13 күн бұрын
Steve Wilhite, the creator, said it was a soft g. Specifically to make a pun, "Choosy developers choose GIF," parodying JIF's slogan at the time ("choosy moms choose JIF") Those who use a soft g are often acknowledging this bit of history and humor.

If plate armor has a place in your medieval fantasy game then so do guns. They were adopted by European armies around the same time.

I’m for fire arms taking longer to reload. “Oh that’s boring having to wait three rounds before shooting.” Don’t care. It’s mainly a problem for players too stubborn and uncreative to work around said problems. In real life this lead to developments such as multiple barrels, integrated melee weapons (axe heads and bayonets), or the practice of carrying (multiple) side arms. The two big problems with guns in pathfinder were their prohibitive costs (250 gp for a pistol!) and the system’s focus on hyper specialization into one type of weapon combat. Combat shouldn’t last more than 5 rounds. A gunslinger character could reasonably carry 4 pistols (as was the style of many pirates during the golden age of piracy) and then switch to a melee weapon. Or, think of the Musketeers. There’s a reason why we think of them fighting with swords when the word ”musket” is in their name.

Hear me out: ballistic shields. Shields made out of steels but gets disadvantage rolls on dex or the much more balanced version is shields made out of materials similar to kevlar. Made a girls frontline inspired DND session with my group of friends. A group of 5 intelligent constructs (a more humanoid and sentient/intelligent version of a guardian home brew edition). Surprisingly enough it was a fun game. Even incorporated a modern version of a pike and shot tactic which made the combat more hectic to describe. Which made it more jarring and gave my players afraid of me because I made a fluffy story into a depressing one.

Thoughts on Kineticist? It's not in the video!
@Zedrinbot17 күн бұрын
That's because it came out after this video did. Otherwise it's incredibly well designed and probably one of the most stacked classes released so far. The extensive playtesting really shows for the better. It's incredibly dense however and requires a lot of planning to play, since there's like 4x as many kinetiscist feats compared to other classes, due to how the gates work.
