This video is disgustingly abusive … feel so sorry for the horse. Authorities should be called.

Why do all riders stare down at their horse's poll instead of looking where they are going? This causes their shoulders to slouch forward which in turn lifts their seat out of the saddle. The only rider with a half way decent seat is Dujardin which isn't saying very much. All the aids look "forced" and not natural or elegant. The horses all look "boxed" in a tight frame. Any extended movements the riders are unable to sit properly. The horse just seems to just do it's "job" and not really enjoying their work. Not a single rider shown has a good proper foundation to ride. Most riders today are clueless as to what Dressage really means and is in the equestrian world. Far cry from when I rode 30 years ago.

What in the is the rider even for?? Just to sit there while he abuses the horses into making a movement neither you nor the horse have properly ever trained for. To scare the horse so much that during gametime all the rider has to do is sit there and the horse has nothing but a constant fear of that man behind him , hurting him. Wow.

This is one of Isabell's better rides. That is not saying much as most of the time she rides like she's screwing a football. She must have went back to the basics and took some lessons. Reading some of the comments below it's obvious that not many people truly understand the meaning of what Dressage is or was in the Equestrian world.

Horses don't do anything t😮hey don't want to do unless beaten and abused. He is clearly never been beaten! get a life ! you clearly know nothing about horses! Horses have always worked whether pulling a cart or dancing to music. All movements are natural but done on command to music. It's another kind of work. Some enjoy their work like humans!

It’s very obvious how much these horses improved over the course of their training with Katie. One should look at the improvements in the horses and riders.

Unfortunately this is not uncommon. Lots of competition riders in dressage push their horses too much. Judges should focus more on the horse being a happy athlete and relaxation.

I want to see Isabell Werth or other "Stars" doing the same. They would not be able to start because there is no teamwork with their horses.

Soooo many people confused about Dressage, riding horses, training. Developing horses. If Dujardin was a true horse (woman) she would never need a bit or bridle to ride. She has lots to learn as do so many others.

Its giving psychopath vibes. I don’t take people who abuse animals lightly. There are many studies that many psychos start at animals and eventually move onto and harm humans.

I didn't read the caption first with this, that it was the same group as riders that were in the Prudent clinic... but I was thinking of it while watching anyhow. For me, this is so much more constructive, communicating with the riders, and treating them with respect. I feel it's like schooling a horse-- keep the emotion low, explain, repeat, and praise when warranted. A class act and superstar.

So much talk in absolutes about hand height. Horse and rider anatomy play into this. People do not all have the same ratios in lengths of their limbs! Plus they are not statues! I may be wrong but it seems that Charlotte has a somewhat long torso for her height, with short upper arms and longer forearms. This means the angle of elbow is going to need to be more open than some other riders' to create the classic straight mouth/hand/elbow line. In addition, when a riders elbow is relatively higher in space relative the horse, the hand will also be higher relative to the horse if that line is straight. I think she achieves that line most of the time in this test. The half passes are an exception. Riders that have been told their whole life to put their hands down can actually end up with more pressure on the mouth if the angles are wrong.

I could puke when I see such a young horse being so artificially collected and "schooled". It doesn't learn to find its own balance but is shaped by the rider's hand. It's the curse of modern horses that they offer themselves so easily. It doesn't learn to seek connection to the rider's hand and to come into a healthy forward-downward movement, to arch its back to properly carry the rider. As soon as a horse has learned this, as soon as it allows itself to be driven and doesn't run on its own - which these modern horses strongly offer - then the rider can begin to pick it up, and this happens depending on the age. This will be the next dressage crutch

This is just animal abuse all over they should have never been allowed to use those moves to use because it’s hurting the horses so badly and it’s going to be look upon as a normal move that younger riders are allowed to use later on in there lives but it’s so Wong is such abuse and so Wong those poor horses are suffering so much those poor baby s ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
