Unfortunately it’s a bit late for some of us on the obesity front 😂 The CCM certainly gives the whole body a ruddy good vibrating, it’s such fun though. If I were a lady I don’t think I’d use any other mode of transport! 😜🤪🤭

Hello Richard and Carol, thank you. We’re a tad constrained by time on the evening rides out, I would have liked to have had more of a wonder around, but at least I now have another excuse to return 😀 I first saw this particular CCM on the motorbike show a few years back then saw them at Motorcycle Live (probably 2019) 🤔 and I’d always wanted to own one. It won’t be out very often, 2 or 3 times a year probably, I spend a lot of time looking at it, they are a work of art. Thanks for watching a leaving a comment, greatly appreciated 😀😀

Yes. Snowdonia just about edges it over how I remember Swansea Dave. It's pretty close though ! 😂 Great idea to leave Stan in Wales and it looks like the two of you are really enjoying your time there. Lovely video and audio quality as always Dave. This helmet seems to be working fine. I was out on Norman ON THE ROADS this morning and I must say that the 411 engine really has grown on me over time ! It feels a bit like I am limiting Norman by more or less only having him for the mountain trails. He's very happy and enjoyable on the roads, just like your Stan ! Stan and me really are living our best lives over there Garry, thanks for the feedback on the sound quality, what might sound OK to me might sound awful to viewers, especially as I went deaf in my left ear yesterday, fortunately normal service has now resumed! 😬 You’re right the 411 engines at marvellous and Stan has loosened up beautifully now sitting around 3k miles. I would t worry about limiting Norman, I’m the same with Stan, he takes me on the more off the beaten track rides. Have a great weekend 👍🏻😀

Hi Dave, a fun video of the mod wars 😂. Always nice to hear you and Paul sharing banter. I think people who do all of these mods must have too much time on their hands !!! I barely get time to ride, let alone search, buy and fit mods. Probably worth doing though, if you can afford the time, and once you've decided that the bike's a keeper. Seems pointless to me, doing a ton of mods on a bike that you sell on in a year, but a lot of people seem to do it anyway 🤷♂ Have fun you two ! Thanks for the video. Garry & Ruby

Morning Garry and Ruby, to much time on our hands, who knew! 😂😂 we’ve pretty much decided that the Hunters are our forever bikes, they have such a charm about them and will serve us into old age, hopefully! 🤭 I have a 16T sprocket to fit over the weekend so that levels that up, and I’ve got a set of LED indicators ready to fit so that should relegate Paul back to second place, the bloomin upstart! 😂 Hope you and Ruby are both well. @@MerciaMoto Hi Dave. Yes, if a bike is likely to be a keeper, you should spend some time and money making it just how you need it to be. In my case, I have two keepers but zero time to even think about modding them. Besides, both the Himalayan and the Meteor are close to perfect in standard trim. I can see me fitting a rortier silencer to Norman, just to get a bit more sound, but other than that, I think both bikes are spot on as they are. Looking forward to seeing what Paul does next ! This has been a ride of such contrasts Dave. The earlier part with spectacular views, the villages where perhaps the quarry workers and families live, the great mountains if slate debris, then down along beautiful country lanes and onto the faster more open road. And all in under half an hour! I noticed the Beeline working it's liitle socks off for you there (now I understand more about it, it makes more sense. We look forward to the next episode in the continung adventuring of Stan in Snowdonia. 🤗

Thanks Peter, it struck me when I was riding how the landscape was changing in such a short distance. This has made me want to explore more of the lesser known parts of Snowdonia which tend to be overlooked as folks focus on the more scenic landscapes. Hello Dave, I agree about the importance of being in the countryside. I did just that today on my Hunter, but I must clean the bike tomorrow because it brought quite a bit of countryside home with it. Unmade roads tend to do that with gunge filed craters🤣

Great idea, Dave. leaving the Scram at your summer residence! For all these local ride outs😊. I've just covered 2000 miles on my Scram (Gupta) running so smooth, changed the fork oil to refresh it and it's far more comfortable......... it's averaging 95 mpg ! As a bonus.

5:15 A tricky one for a non-Welsh person, in fairness! It's "nant" followed be "lle", as if a separate word. Nant is easy enough, but Lle is hard to write down...it's that weird tongue thing you have to do, with all "Ll" bits in Welsh words! I can't explain here how the "Ll" is formed, but the "Lle" should rhyme with "Play", as a Yorkshire person would say it! Anyway, another great video...greetings from Llanelli! I've known it as "Snowdon" and "Snowdonia" all my life, and I'm now 57...so I'm glad to see you refer to it by the original name! I'll never call "Eryri", just because of some sudden PC b*llocks! Changing the name of something doesn't change what is is, so why do it? Should the names of EVERY place in Wales be changed to the Welsh version? Ridiculous!

Hello Peter, yes riding my bikes really is my happy place, I find it helps me to achieve clarity of thought and clear my mind of the clutter than comes from living in an urban environment and spending time in the city. I was in Birmingham City centre yesterday and it is now such an alien environment, despite growing up nearby and spending a lot of time there as a youngster. Hope you enjoy the rest of the video and I shall be watching yours this evening, a marvellous way to relax and unwind 👍🏻😀

He had to walk back miles in the mist (think he was courting my G Ma who lives two villages away) and a sick sheep followed him making the odd nasty noise. He thought it was one of the ol tales come to get him. When the mist cleared he saw it much to his relief and took it to the nearest farmer.

Thanks Peter, I think the views on the descent trump the views on the ascent. I was using predominantly engine braking on the way down and the popping from Pocket Rockets exhaust as I approached the cattle grid was just sublime 👌🏻👍🏻😀

Disappointed Paul wasn't on his Hunter for this one but I suppose he needs to run his new bike in (sorry I'm not up with all these new names for bikes). Still soon there'll be three out on Hunters plus Joe who sort of has one but not. At least he knows what he's missing 😂. Used to camp at little Stretton on a site. A Friday it was. Very hot and the chaps in the tent next to us had brought mars bars for the long Mynd walk next day. Rather melted I would have thought.

@@MerciaMoto Yes I was expecting a green and white gingham tablecloth and picnic blankets initially but the realised once you were all down there wouldn't be anyone to help you all up. You could wait a long time up there for the breakdown people to help you back onto your bikes. 😅

@@Lanes-Explorer5733 one of my favourite places to visit Peter and pretty much on our doorstep. I plan to ride over and descend on the Western side, the road over there is narrow and pretty steep. I’ve ridden it before but not recorded it so might make an interesting video. 🤔👍🏻

Evening David, thanks for reminding me about bread pudding, haven’t had any for ages so I’ve tasked the missus with finding me some, if that fails we’ll have to make some! 😀 Pineapple creams, my mom would buy us them from Firkins on Bearwood Road, another favourite she would buy from there were tiny pork pies, just the right amount for a little lad at the time.
