Excellent job bud! I'm literally brand new. You just helped me decide what hat press to get. What is a general price I should charge? Thanks man
@esentl10 күн бұрын
charge by the hat...or patch cost+30% and your labor per hat to press it, if the hats are supplied. Check your local print shops and see what they charge...if you buy that press please use my affiliate link in the description below so I get a kick back and it wont cost you anything to do so.

I’d be interested to hear from others what time frame they estimate to reach profitability out of the machine? Certainly, this varies from business to business. However, I believe a legitimate estimate could be derived. Let’s say it’s a small company, less than 5 employees, ramping up a new business with a small client base.
@esentl14 күн бұрын
it would depend on your client base you already have and how well your advertising, DTF companies with 1 - 24" machine can easily clear 50k+ a month, if they have the clients to support that

My hat press doesn't heat on the lower platen. I have pressed tons of caps with screenprint. All the prework i try, the DTF material creases while pressing. Any ideas? I've watched so many videos but I must have a brain freeze on DTF. I love it for shirts but can't get it to work on caps.
@esentl25 күн бұрын
its the shape of the platen and hat combo that's causing that ..one of the main reason I bought this machine, was to eliminate those issues hats are money and ruining them can get pricey quick :)

nope the 15x15 shows the platen in the images, plus I own it lol.... all transpro plus model including the swing away have removable platens but they are actually discontinuing the 15x15, they are replacing it with the latest TransPro Plus DTF Press 13.8" x 16.5", me personally I would just do the 16x20 its the best one

Questions is it safe to ware a shirt after being transfered ,or even after using dft sublimation hack
@esentl2 ай бұрын
yes its safe, especially when you use companies that use Oeko Tex certified products which we do here at esentlprintsupply.com that's not where the problem lies the issue is in the chemical reactions at extreme temperatures or in poor exhaust situations, its more at the environment levels

Gotta love your educational value. Bet most folks don't realize what they should be asking themself about what you are trying to tell them. Best advise, buy one of those $150 Amazon hat presses, do a few cheap caps and you'll understand why the IQ 360 costs 10x.

I'm using 100% Acrylic and 310 for the temp. However, my beanies are being crushed and flattened out like a pancake. How do I stop that? Should I lower the temp, and use little to no pressure for a longer period of time to stop the beanies from being crushed and ruined?

@esentl2 ай бұрын
you using a 360 IQ? if not that type of hat press would help eliminate that, but I have seen people add foam underneath, but I have a silicone hat mat kit you can use in my tools section that might aid in helping with that issue on my website esentlprintsupply.com

Does DTF fade in the sun? Can it be sprayed with a UV spray?
@esentl2 ай бұрын
I think any print left in the sun can fade, as far as that spray i have no clue as i have never had a reason to try that
@marisaisabel42922 ай бұрын
Are there concerns also associated with just pressing dtf prints or just the curing process?
@esentl2 ай бұрын
DTF curing is only dangerous at certain temperature levels, but most shaker dryers are below those thresholds and have vent ports you can add hoses to that help with fume extraction, pressing DTF is fine, if you have minor issues with fumes from pressing just add a small fan nearby, other than following a good ventilation process which should be a standard practice you'll be fine

Great video! strait forward to the point. What is the black paper you used on the lip of the hat and the hat for heat called? What is the name of the company you go to for the patches? What is the name company the hat heat press and how has it held up for you? I'm looking to buy what is needed to start selling hats. Also, I think people that are considering making patches for hats don't realize just how much embroidery machines costs. The way you chose to do this is cost affecting too.
