Passing by on a lunch hour you don't see long lines at the drive thru anymore. Finally fast food is getting their comeuppance!

I ordered something else which I didn't like. The mgr. came over & I thought it was stupid that he didn't offer me something else. (This was when economy was good.) Had an expensive meal at Outback Steakhouse before COVID; it disappointed all of us at the table. Lunch prices are now what dinner prices were before COVID in most places You really have to be nuts about a place or you don't want to bother. Sorry if name icon comes up 2X.

Since Covid, the only affordable and decent cuisine are Mom and Pop small restaurants. The big chains can not afford help or rising food costs. Family owned restaurants are doing excellent business. They are clean, excellent food and very good service. The owners are fair to their few employees, and they buy food locally. However, we do eat at Beef O'bradys for wings on occasion, but that's about it. If they should go downhill, we will stick to private dining fare. Raising minimum wage and run away inflation is killing the food industry chain restaurants.

I know most of these chains have struggled for a long, long time but IHoP ? IHoP is usually pack Saturdays and Sundays where I live.
