now imagine it with a half twisting catch (no mixed grip) then transition to low bar…whoa! but this skill is awesome!!!!
@aztn4 сағат бұрын
or maybe mixed grip would be kinda cool? 🔥

Although I'm excited for Paris, I'm afraid it's really predictable: USA will get the gold for the team, and Simone will get the gold for the all around and all events except bars. At this point it's not even fun to watch anymore.

She could never overcome that step on the landing but it was still awesome! That's such a tiny little detail really but I know it counts for a lot in judging... don't stick the landing perfectly and the whole vault is downgraded!

If she make the Olympics her endorsements have to amount to a Billion Dollar anything less she shouldn’t except. 50-100 million per endorsement.

What was that
@YuckyMama13 сағат бұрын
Is that undervalued? It looks difficult in terms of maintaining momentum.

Severely undervalued. The version that starts with a Kip is worth the same value…

Laurent never touched her on the first vault and she did receive a .5 deduction. The second gymnast was spotted and should be a zero. Simone is now competing that vault (YDP) without Laurent standing there. ❤

For beam, 6.5 won’t be enough for gold which might be reduced further if she misses a connection. I hope she updates her routine in order to win an Olympic gold on beam !!

I had hoped for years that Biles would do this skill. She already does a weiler kip and this would have given her a skill on every event.

I’ve tapped out on Olympic artistic gymnastics bc it’s boring as hell to watch now. No artistry, no beauty. Now I’m all the way checked into the girls in the NCAA…those routines are creative, artistic, and simply fun to watch.

Some of the changes definitely just made it worse, because now most routines just look the same!! Especially the 4 series dimmed down to 2. It just doesnt look so impressive without it.

This should be worth more than it is. The sport is *Artistic* gymnastics. This is beautiful (unlike those wobbly horrible Wolf turns) and requires both skill & artistry. FIG would do well to encourage this in the COP.

I hate the wolf turns. They've been around since the 70s and maybe before! Talk about old, overdone and boring.
@murasakino101Күн бұрын
@@user-zt6eg2nm2dnobody did wolf turns in the 70s lol. If there was one, it was extremely rare. They didn't really pop up until around 2000 and even then it was rare. I think they started becoming mainstream after 2012
@user-zt6eg2nm2dКүн бұрын
@@murasakino101 research it. You'll see many such turns, only one at a time, no multiples.
@murasakino101Күн бұрын
@@user-zt6eg2nm2d that's why I said if it was done it was extremely rare. Like you said, they would only do one and it was considered a unique move at that time since everyone was doing basic turns and L-turns
