Jesse Romero-the catholic police officer who was keeping watch over Richard-challenged Richard to say Jesus is Lord in exchange for a good meal. Richard spoke eloquently and normally with Romero before this. And accepted the challenge. But he could not even say Jesus is Lord when the time came. Goes to show how strong the demons are in his life.

He’s TOTALLY RIGHT about what he said!! I agree with him!! He wasn’t lying- MOST , if NOT ALL humans have it in them to kill -we don’t do it because just as he said -it’s Not worth the self-destruction!!

He has a point, what he described is basically true. Most people have felt violent impulses from anger at some point especially when you’re young and immature, if we didn’t feel scared of destroying our own lives to commit murder, it’s hard to say what we might do

It's actually kinda true when he said that we all are capable of being killers it's just that we don't do it. For me the reason behind that would be rational choice theory and secondly it's not the only resort to live life, there's another way too...

Wow that’s some top level gaslighting. “Yeah I was a coke head and a serial killer, but that’s secretly the right way to live and all of you who don’t kill people for no reason and have jobs and families and animals that you love, those are all webs of distraction.” Which is totally illogical because there are huge amounts of homeless people in the world without families and jobs, they don’t do what he did. He’s just a gaslighting narcissist who will say anything to avoid being seen for what he is…

“I think most humans have the capacity in them to commit murder” That statement means nothing. “Murder” is something that is defined by law. A soldier “kills” but the law says that it is not “murder” I think what most people interpret his statement to mean is that most people have the capacity to start killing total strangers at random and without purpose or justification just like Richard Ramirez did. To that I agree with Maury, no they don’t.
@insha541
@insha541 Ай бұрын
He is right though! In the " state of nature"we all would commit murders, that's why laws were established in the first place because we all are greedy,if not all then most of us and want the best for ourselves and only ourselves and can go to any extent for that. Now the greed can be any ,to get more money,more resources,more happiness,more fulfilment,more peace,more power,more control or just to fulfill more of our innate compulsions ,you name anything and that can be your greed. So yeah not justifying what he did but agreeing that we all are capable of causing evil

"I think most humans have in them the capacity to commit murder. They chose not to, not because they are morally superior as they so commonly claim but because they are imprisoned in a wave of responsibilities, commitments, beliefs, and sentiments and that would render murder an absurd gamble or ridiculous self-destruction." - Richard Ramirez

There was another serial killer from LA on a tv dating show also. He won but the girl got so spooked by talking to him backstage she never went on a date with him. Lucky for her as more than likely she'd never have been heard of again.
