I'm a little late watching this. But how do you do the trick if it's on the spot...you borrowed the paper and pencil? You don't have the opportunity to write the forced one. How would you do the trick then?

Rock paper scissor is documented. People usualy play rock first. Then when they lose a round, they will most likely choose the option that would have won the last round. It is demonstrated in the mentalist for the first few moves. You will lose eventually, just play the odds.

If you want to do this when not on the button here is an adapted version: Milk + 2 > FRONT 9 > FRONT 1 > BACK 6 > BACK 2 + people after you including the button > BACK Milk + Players - 2 > BACK # before you > BACK

As a beginner to card tricks this was not too difficult to learn. Took maybe 10 minutes to get it up and running. Not messing up the pinky thing is probably the hardest part haha, but you can feel comfortable performing it to virtually anyone without them suspecting the method

This is SOOOO Good. It took quite a bit of practice to get the moves down smoothly, but it was well worth the time and effort invested. The more expensive double blank cards Spidey recommends are worth getting. They make everything much smoother. Thank you, Spidey! This is now my favorite go-to mind reading effect!

A little constructive criticism: black shirt and white cards means your camera can't capture that dynamic range. Too much contrast in other words and the camera can't pick between them when deciding where to set the exposure. It's quite hard to see a lot of what is going on. Great trick and explanation but it's hard to see. I know it's an old video, you probably got this sorted out by now.

I remember being in college. And there was a stage guy who had us draw a triangle, circle, and square. And we could put them inside each other in any order. And the entire audience did it in the exact same way. I would still love to know how he did that. I don't even know the order that it wound up being. If I had to do it again I would do Square. Then Circle. Then Triangle. TRYING, like I did the first time, to be unpredictable. For all I know that was what I did 30 + years ago. I do get that the odds are not as random as they seem. But still....I remember pretty much THE ENTIRE audience had the same drawing he did. Did he say stuff to prompt the response? Are humans naturally inclined by shapes to want them in a certain order? To this day I am still curious.

A variation I can't and don't need to know, Penn and Teller, in a live show at their theater, pass (randomly?) a huge cart of hardback books throughout the audience, in a way that seems absolutely random, unless of course there are a bunch of plants and not even one random spectator gets a book. Penn Gillette asks for random words in (random?) pages and guesses every word in each book. They of course perform this magnificent illusion quickly and without ambiguity in the instructions. This is one of my favorite P&T illusions. My favorite was in an old TV special where they seemingly tie up a guy and trap him in a box that gets pushed off a pier. That's the end of the illusion.

I tried this with my friends and it all fell apart. I had my card lined up but he said "you know what, just take the very first top card and show me that one. I cannot really say "that is not how it is supposed to work" if you give the impression they can pick ANY card...

You can take this a step further by using 13 memorized cards, I use the first 13 cards from my memorized deck, then you can actually show all 12 choices.

I don't know why I didn't learn this one before now. I really like it. I was having trouble at first missing a detal here there even though I knew the Elmley count and the false throwing the cards. What helped me get it down was practicing with four blue jokers and four red aces. This way I could make sure I was in the right place each time without constantly checking.
