He doesn't do it, so I know he probably can't. But with that high backswing, high rev rate, and ability to make shots so consistently, it looks like Chris Warren might still be able to bowl on the "kid's tour" and go up against the likes of EJ and Simo. But I guess the rigors of a full tournament might be a bit taxing for a super senior. Ironically, although he bowled fabulously and beat Warren, some like Jack Juric probably can no longer compete with the younger guys. His ball is slow and precise, and against the endless number of power bowlers out there in the regular PBA, he would lose out on pin carry in the course of a tournament. All of these super seniors are great bowlers though. Such good form and understanding the shape of their ball downlane.

Agree, Chris still bowled really good with a high swing and revs are incredible

For those staring the pattern was to easy. lol. Ok you try and bowl. I crossed next to Jon the 3 days and it wasn’t easy as you think. Jon just threw it that GREAT! Also, many times you play the house not the pattern. Sam’s town is high friction HPL that has been in use since 1998. Meaning super friction.

Instead of going to string pins, which completely destroys the game... just hold an engineering competition of some sort to invent/innovate free fall machines to make them more efficient. Having worked in bowling centers, I've seen several types of machines that work very differently. I'm sure there's some brilliant way to innovate these machines where they work much more efficient, and don't have strings.

Contrary to some beliefs, this was quite an exciting stepladder finals. You can comment on the shot being too easy or too hard, but let's face it, it all comes down to consistency and replication of shots. We saw corner pins and nasty leaves when there was a variation in ball speed or execution. Don't take anything away from bowlers that execute and show excellent consistency in their shot making. Congratulations to the finalist and eventual winner, who had a fantastic run.
@Ironfangzu20 күн бұрын
Well said. I am sure that the oil pattern used here is not the super tough ones you see on the regular tour. That said, you still have to execute and make that shot that is there for you. Obviously, younger guys like EJ Tackett or Anthony Simonson would probably crush these older guys on very hard patterns. But I am not sure they would beat these guys on the PBA50 patterns.

everyone is saying that if string pins are going to be the norm that they will quit bowling...Well lets all stick together on this. Dont say it and not do it...Lets teach the USBC a lesson and help to kill the game. I can find other things to do. Centers want to cut cost?...we will grant them their wish by putting them out of business and then they wont have to worry about paying ANYBODY!!

I'm surprised Danielle has two balls with the RICO layout. I thought that layout became obsolete after balance holes were eliminated in 2020. @brunsnick care to give us your take on that?
@PIEDUDE1723 күн бұрын
They are asym balls, the mass bias moves the PSA away from the thumb hole (almost like a weight hole), so with asym balls, you can still drill them with a Rico layout, you're just using the mass bias as the weight hole.
