This video was very well put together. Pete Weber has always expressed himself as he is. It's obvious to see he'll be forever remembered as a fierce competitor... a legend not to be forgotten.

No parent can force a child to follow in their profession unless the kid really loves it. Dick Weber loved bowling and was fortunate that not only was his son a Hall of Fame talent, but Pete loved bowling, too. You have to LOVE it to do it this long and care about it this much.

The most natural fluid swing in the history of the sport. He is the reason the PBA exists today.

This guy is great. I dont bowl but I am a fan because of Pete. Im so happy for the guy that he had the career he has had doing what he loves, and although you can always watch the old matches (thank god) on the interwebs, its just another sign of no country for old men, things are changing, and time moves on. It was so much fun so many times and its not quite over yet. Hope to see Pete do a podcast or something.

Pete, thank you for what you've done for the sport. I know why this past Saturday, 02/24, I did 3 stone 9's in a row, and did 5 total in the same game. To celebrate your retirement!!!

The nerves of steel and confidence to go up and throw that last ball against Fagan to win the U.S. Open is still incredible to me. Such a difficult oil pattern and any minor miss could've easily cost him the championship. Easily my top clutch moment ever in the sport.

Amazing career. He won early with plastic/polyester ball era, then the urethane era, the reactive resin era, and any other variations during his career. You always have to wonder how many more titles he could have won if he didn't have his personal battles in his career. Whether you liked his attitude and antics or not, that's what made him PDW, and I personally believe it got more people to watch, especially if he was on tv. The different personalities are what make watching fun, and hopefully, professional bowling will never end. I never met him personally, but in my observation from tv, especially later in his career, he was very respectful to the game and his opponents in defeat when the game was over.

"You always have to wonder how many more titles he could have won if he didn't have his personal battles in his career." True, but what also kept him from winning even more is that Walter Ray was usually in the way. They had some great battles, and Pete had a tough time beating WRW on TV (So did everyone else).

Earl may be the GOAT, and Dick (Pete's dad) may be BEST ambassador this game will EVER know, but Pete exemplified KILLER on the lanes like no other, both before and since him.
