Imagine trying to troll a talented musician, and he does this just to exert dominance over you.

We had a similar thing with one of our popular (read rubbish) singers many years ago (probably copied this) and it also turned out pretty good. The main difference is that this guy said "I make this kind of music because I have bills to pay, I know it's not good music".

I wonder if he got royalties for this. He DID invent a nice jingle after all.

This just proves to me that Elton barely needed Bernie Taupin at all......who knows what he could have done with a better lyricist?

Even more reason I was appalled by his shameless recycling of "Candle in the Wind" for Lady DIana's funeral. He couldn't come up with something original? Elton? Really? She was better than a bloody oven for Pete's sake.

I love how all the music theorists come out of the woodwork saying "chord progression this" and "playing piano for X years that." Put any of them on stage, on the spot, with oven instructions, with THAT audience (with Ozzy staring at you) and I'd bet a million dollars they choke like a bitch. EJ is a "once in a lifetime" genius. THAT'S why he made it look easy.
