Make sure you take the insoles out before washing! Foam insoles can be ruined in a washing machine...they're best cleaned outside the shoe anyway.

The only concern would be the shoe might break down sooner and some cushion isn’t built for that amount of water in the shoe and the spin cycle could damage the shape.

I tried this with speculation and it freakin worked beyond wonder. First I removed the shoe laces and then I filled a bowl with cool tap water and put in about 3/4 scoop of oxi clean stain remover and used a brush I scrubbed the shoes until they were wet and soapy and you can tell of the grime was coming out I also brushed the laces . Then I put them in the washer without the mesh bag because I didn’t have one but I did put some white hand towels and some white socks so the shoes wouldn’t fly around too much. I added about 1/2 of a cup maybe some more arm and hammer detergent and I sprinkled a little bit more of the oxi clean inside the shoe and on the load. I washed them with COLD water on medium soil so it wouldn’t be too rough and they came out looking brand new just need to let them AIR DRY definitely recommend this
