Thank you for another super informative series. I really appreciate your “real” approach and honesty, so often, people make training seem easy so when you’re honest about adapting for heat, life events and scheduling around work and social, it’s very inspiring and also super helpful to learn from, thank you!

I’m training for a marathon in the fall also and I’ve been struggling in this heat and where I live the humidity is continuously over 80% which makes it increasingly more difficult. I need to start waking up earlier for these runs. Skipped my long run last week and attempted it again this week to fail… felt like I was going to pass out so I had to stop.

I recently found your channel. I ran my first marathon in 2023, and it was also a long journey for me. I originally wanted to run a fall marathon in 2020, but we all know what happened to that plan. I actually did something even crazier than you -- I ran Toronto Waterfront in October 2023, and then CIM only 7 weeks later. I was so glad to be done with marathon training after CIM, and deliberately decided not to run a spring marathon this year. But I'm back at it training for Chicago now :)

@@EMELYNJADE May, 6 - May 12. It clearly says 121 miles. Notice that I said cross training. Cross training is any training outside of your primary movement. I'm not the one trying to run well in the marathon. You can't argue with the results. You've had multiple weeks over 100 miles from March to the end of May. That's including running, swimming and biking. If you want to run your marathon well, maybe consider being honest and structure your training better. I get that you want people to write great job or just like the video since you felt like you worked hard. However, hard work doesn't always means that it's productive.
