I need a song like this that makes me feel similarly as if someone pulled my heart out of my body and crushed it

God blessed us following 80s onwards harder/punk style music with 2010s post punk. This is the absolute pinnacle. For decades this song, hopefully for a longer time, will be studied and influence artists.

honestly the most impressive part about this performance is the Joey Jordinson facepaint Charlie is wearing during the Italian restaurant segments that's metal as goddamn hell \m/

This album is to the Brixton Windmill scene what In The Aeroplane Over The Sea was to the Elephant 6 Recording Company - a flawless musical watermark 🎶

I’m surprised Georgia is still there, with the success with Jockstrap.
I'm about to cry, it has been long time since I discovered a great song that I've never heard that resonated with me. Like the feeling when I first listened to Radiohead.

I’ve watched Robert Plant, RHCP, Pink Floyd, The Cleveland Orchestra, Bon Iver, Radiohead, Florence Welch. This is the greatest live performance I have ever seen.

It's the perspective of a woman having just died floating away from her home, over wind turbines in fields, which look strange when seen from above. The references to being a witch are like a abstract way of explaining this new found ability, and why being seen surprises her, because she's not invisible, she's dead, which is also why she's naked. The second verse after the chorus is even more explicit, mentioning maggots and worms immediately, the ploughing of fields and flowers could be an oblique reference to the funeral and decay process. In the next part perhaps the narrator is even ruminating on her cause of death albeit in an abstract offhand way and combining it into the pre-existing metaphor of being in the sky (a witch on a broom) and having the blood turn into rain and falling through the sky to mix with tears on the ground. This is why the chorus deconstructs the phrase "pearl before swine" in that particular way - the pearls are a metaphor for tears and the narrator is saying don't waste your tears on me, she accepts what she is in the grander scheme of things. She's already floating away. The last verse isn't the narrator. It's someone else talking about the narrator that just left. The song is about loss.

When you see a band that in the comments of a concert only has people saying how it is the best thing they have ever heard in their life, it is because you know that they did it well ❤

Holy shit. This version is somehow much more heavier than the edited one at parts. Yet they both manage to sound like a panic attack in musical form so well. In this one Isaac sounds genuinely desperate at times. :/
