You spotify users creep the F out of me, its like you are paid to say this stuff, it looks like in the truman show when the wife is fighting with him and then looks somewhere and starts promoting a cocoa brand, you even make sure to put the S in uppercase, like my grandma telling me that "God" must be always written with uppercase G, it is either this or you acting like zombies begging for X song to be on spotify bcz for some reason that's the only way y'all can possibly enjoy X song Edit: "b-but its because on youtube i cant turn the screen off" youtube music. "B-but youtube music is paid" ok first why are you not bothering to put the Y in uppercase like you do with spot- no, y'know what, forget it, download a third party app to access youtube and listen to it on background or with the screen off like newpipe. I think we have to be proud of Issac for being brave enough to see this album through And also be able to be honest about stepping away. I would be devastated iif he ended up like Ian Curtis, who I wished got the help when he needed it.

I don't know what they had in mind specifically when they wrote this song, but it made me cry the first time I heard it, as soon as I heard "And the doctor said, "We are unfortunately running out of options to treat" ", as my mom passed away from cancer a few months before listening. Bless you all.

i cant describe how much this song means to me right now. my fiance broke up with me 4 weeks ago because i was too dependent on her for my happiness. i really relate to a lot of the lyrics on this album, the themes of codependency and dysfunction. beautiful songwriting

@@eatmoreporkporky4342 well 2 month are gone since I broke up, and all i can say is: try to be as rational as you can, try to be fully honest with yourself, possibly by speaking of this matter with friends who have more experience than you or have had similar experiences. I don't know anything about you, but this will surely help. Also, the first month and a half is the worst period. Past that point, I think you start to feel a little bit more comfortable with yourself. Final advice: don't fear being unhappy with yourself or in front of others: faking emotions will destroy you (as I have done that for years), don't be too shy or too proud to be just yourself. Your world will be different sooner or later, it's a matter of time. How much? It's up to you. Stay strong :))

Every new song sounds like a different band while still sounding like BCNR. I'm hearing echoes of Pavement and, unexpectedly but delightfully, Jonathan Richman. They've pretty much ticked all the numbers on my 'favourite underground bands of the last fifty years' bingo card while still sounding fresh and exciting.

The JR reference is good. Hadn’t thought about it but yes. The first Modern Lovers album is still a masterpiece. I bought it aged 16 when released in 1976 and it completely changed my direction on music. Incredible that they actually recorded it in 1972! With BCNR I was hearing a bit of Slint but you’re right there’s a lot of varied underground influences.Love the album this sounds great too.

This song is my firm favourite of Black Country, New Road 👍 What I noticed the most is the lyric “Then Issac will suffer, Concorde will rise”. It’s like Issac knew he was going to leave the band and wanted to make one last gem of a song before he went. He will be missed. I hope the rest of them continue to make amazing music like this 😊🎵
