Yeah you have an easier job upgrading. If you look online I think they recommend a 6.5” kicker to replace the factory woofer and then some sound deadening to improve the plastic housing. Or do you plan to go full custom and built a wooden/fibreglass box?

@@maximusoptimusTECH yeah I'm not going to go that far I just want to add sound deadening and brand new woofer to fit relatively easily without having to hack into OEM car. I'd also like to upgrade all speakers eventually cause I think there all paper cones. I most likely will add one of those fancy boxes so I can use aftermarket amps. Hence why I'll be keeping this video for safe keeping to reference if I get stuck.

I think in a similar situation as you. I have the stock amp with 3G MMI plus. Starting with the 3 dash speakers as no idea how to do sub woofer in the sportback. Was going to do for Dayton RS-75s but they got sold out so quickly. Is focal a good option for the dash?

@@sythnapubg7926 reason i went for focal they dont need huge power to drive them, im quite happy how they sound in the front, hope this helps

I tried the Dayton option to replace the center speaker. Wanted to make a video but I don’t think it’s worth it. Sounds about the same if not worse tbh. Could be different for the tweeters though. As for the sub in the Sportback, there are some good premade enclosures for 10” subs that fit into the right side storage compartment in the trunk.

@@maximusoptimusTECHreally? A lot of people are losing their sh*t over those Daytons. Would have gotten them but they sold out so left the grills off lol until they come back. Bought a 12 inch Alpine woofer, now looking for LOC and amp. But not sure where the factory amp is?

Yeah I’ve read those forum posts as well. My theory is that the Daytons improve the stock system a lot. But if you make the coding trick and unlock the full potential/power the Daytons are overwhelmed. At least for the center channel, as I said I haven’t tried the Dayton as a tweeter so that might be a totally different story. Ended up disconnecting the center altogether, which sounded the best with my Alpine frontsystem. As for the factory amp, it’s integrated into the MMI system. So the speaker wires go to the control box in the left side of the trunk. The pinout for the quadlock connector can be found online. I recommend buy in a quadlock extension cable so you don’t need to cut into the original Audi harness.

Das war nen 3 Wege set zum Selbstbau. Hab die vor Jahren mal gebaut, das gibt es aber schon lange leider nicht mehr zu kaufen.

Das kodieren bringt einen sehr großen Effekt, würde ich auf jeden Fall machen.

Any wheel of the A4/5/Q5 or S/RS models will work. Just make sure that you get one with or without paddle shifters depending on what transmission you have.

Dankeschön, die Anlage ist tatsächlich auch immer noch im Betrieb bei mir. Der Audio extractor gibt dir auch nur das gleiche Signal was du bekommst wenn du den TV direkt per optischem Ausgang anschließt. Also den kannst du dir komplett sparen, macht keinen Sinn.

Yeah it’s really by far the best I’ve heard of. Also have some friends who are really satisfied with it. Recently calibrated the EQ for a few hours with my iPad and an Audio Analyzer App. Almost makes up for a separate DSP. As for radio I use mostly Apple Music’s built in radio function, as well as sometimes TuneIn or RadioPlayer. Works pretty well, and if you have enough data basically eliminates the need for DAB. Edit: the newer version of it even comes with support for using the Audi microphone, so you don’t need to route the cable. But I haven’t tested the sound quality or Siri reliably with that because mine doesn’t have that function.

@@maximusoptimusTECH sounds good, think I will go for one. When you operate the heater temperature controls, do they display on screen still?

That’s the only thing that doesn’t work, but you can still see the temperature and heated seat level on the small display from the climate control unit. So that isn’t really a problem for me

Also die Treiber müssen auf jeden Fall im safemode installiert werde, da Windows sonst dazwischen funkt. Da mein MacBook ja selber ebenfalls über eine AMD Grafikkarte verfügt ist das bei mir zumindest kein Problem gewesen. Das Video ist aber auch jetzt schon 4 Jahre her also da kann an den Treiber sich einiges geändert haben. Ich selber hab keine eGPU mehr also kann nicht sagen was da aktuell ist. Wenn der safemode nicht hilft, frag mal in dem erwähnten egpu.io Forum nach die sind damals ganz hilfreich gewesen. LG

Those are the wires that went to the B&O subwoofer, I just cut off the plug ^^

It is not even a catback, just the rear mufflers. Everything else is stock, the catback doesn’t sound as deep and rumbly because they use an xpipe.

@@maximusoptimusTECH So the rear mufflers bolt right on to the stock pipes without any modifications? Would you have a link to the Fox rear mufflers that you are referring to?

Yeah I just flexed off the Audi mufflers and used the supplied connectors to bolt the Fox mufflers on. Thanks :D You need to remove the whole shelf if you want to remove the subwoofer. There is no way to remove it without access from the top.

Not sure, never tried it. The thing is that the subwoofer braces the shelf near the hole. So could be possible that it rattles if you have a big woofer in the trunk. Just try it it’s really not that hard to remove the shelf, looks like more work than it is.

I have asked to Mr12volt and they told me to check the gateway connection. I connected everything again and problem solved. Now I any have to fix the airbag failure 😅. Thanks!!
