Yikes. Album version is one of my favorite songs ever. This performance is the answer to, "do band get tired of playing their biggest song?" Clearly they do and this is the result.

THE GOAT...words and music..I've been listening to Merle as long as I can remember first hearing music..my whole family loved Merle Haggard. grandparents,dad,uncles on both sides of family..have a ton of memories with Merle playing long and loudly through my years...I'm 50 years old and I flood my kids with his music..I know that this man and his music will live long after myself...

Surely it's been misnamed "Country Yellow Teeth"? I've always remembered it as "Yellow Country Teeth", and that's what they're singing? Is there a prize for pointing that out?

Incredible that so many comments about the vocals (and not all good)--I see the vocals as raw and emotional. These are bare-your-soul type vocals. Check out Deerhunter-Revival. Also raw vocals. Good stuff.
