I was there at the Curtis Memorial in LA in 2000, 20 meters away from Lauryn as she sang this song. My favorite Curtis song. She was so cool and so fragile, crying behind her sunglasses. I will never forget this day. Eric Clapton and Stevie Wonder were also fantastic. As mr Wonder shouted this day: CURTIS WILL LIVE FOREVER!

Hey guys I hope you have a wonderful day. If you’re experiencing a painful breakup I know you’ll get through it even if you had a crush on this person for life at least they got to meet you when you were hiding your self from them. It’ll be hard too let go until you guys meet again behind the tv screen next life but you’ll get stronger if you’re not over it at least you’ll learn too leave them alone. Yes her voice is great , but only Curtis should sing this tune. Its just that his soul is so intertwined with the music , others should leave it alone, its so Curtis ! Just my humble opinion.

Wow I’m going into 2k4 still bumping this, honestly Lauryn hill is like the only female rapper that I own both of her full length album. It’s worth it and I don’t regret being an avid listener of hers. I don’t own no other female rapper full body length of work. To be honest I don’t even listen to anyone else like that. Only time I’ll hear other artist work is on the radio and I don’t even listen to the radio that often. So it’s very rare that I do hear their work. Lauryn Hill is def someone that inspires me and that I would def consider looking up to. I def have to guard my ear gate with what I let enter in. This song is a well written masterpiece I love it. This is pure truth. These social drugs will consume you if you aren’t careful.

I played this version at my 2-day-old, granddaughters' "Homegoing" services! It was between this & Slyeena Johnson's (also beautiful) version! This is the 1st time I have listened to this song 🎵 since 2018! Today is her sister's 1st birthday 🎂! I'm just reminiscing on her sweet spirit & celebrating the gift of the abundance of life (I have twin granddaughters due in January & another grandbaby (I think/ feel it's a boy) due in April! God is still faithful to a thousand generations... Deuteronomy 7:9 ❤️🙏🏽🦁❤️ 👶🏽👏🏽!!!
