hiii, I love this - but worried to try it 😅. How has it held up? And if you remember these years later, what size bag did you use? Thanks! Love the finish

Are your floors done this way and your bathroom and kitchen? Do you have any concerns about wet areas with the way you did your flooring and wanting to do the same thing so this is why I’m asking I think it’s beautiful.

For a lighter color like white or lighter gray, one can use tile mortar or even sanded grout had different colors Sand it down in patches to create dense and smooth finish I did my fireplace and turned out great

I made my shower (3 yrs ago) and it looks and feels amazing even today! (Did my HW, to mk it waterproof, etc) And recently, started making bathrooms, showers, etc (using micro cements, plasters...had professional training). But, I respect ppl who are not afraid to try, and mk projects, and are excited about it. That's how I started too.

Hi, great video and so much so I am going to try it out myself. We have a different brand in the uk but I think I have found a similar product. They will not approve it for this type of application but they did say that it can't be used on top of emulsion paint. Did you have paint on the wall?

It’s concrete when you add aggregate (sand, pebbles, gravel, small stones, even large stones) Portland cement is the limestone that’s been heated really hot and once you add water it reacts with any silica in the mixture and makes calcium silicates (that’s what makes it hard)

This looks amazing. I would love to do this in my master bathroom. How does this hold up with moisture though? I take really really hot showers so it gets super steamy and the walls sweat. Is there a sealant for that?

Cement walls, much like cement floors, are hideous. I'm not sure why this is a thing. I was trying to buy a house and the number of homes with these godawful cement floors and cement walls is unreal

Please use a bonding liquid on the wall before doing this and seal it after with a bonding liquid to stop it from flaking

I've used feather-finish on my countertops, and it was fragile chalky garbage. A casual scraping with my fingernail would do it massive damage.

@VicTnaMikDanRicAnSam

Just saw this video. I’m sure you’ve found by now that the splashing wasn’t necessarily drying, but more seeping into the drywall. What will of happened is it seeps I to the feathering onto the surface of the original paint job. After some time this will cause mold and mildew. The way to keep this from happening was to kiltz it first. Then add water proof caulking to your feathering mix or a satin or matte seal to you feathering after you applied it. Just some advice for next time. Nice job though.

Maybe! It sounds easier to just seal it afterwards? Good ideas! If anyone tries these tips let us know!

That came out great!,, Its been a couple years now, not sure you will see this,,, Did you eventually use any sealant? I like the matte look,, I personally don't want to see any sheen to it,,, How is that wall after a couple years? Thank you,, God Bless!

This is crazy good. Would love to see an entire bathroom done like this. I was thinking the same thing as probably others, could it absorb the wetness into the cement from being in a bathroom, but if it did you could just seal it. Great job. This was inspiring to watch. 😊
