thanks Jeff. Another song to be composed is called 'Long After the Guns', which is a story of the generation that heard the guns fall silent on 11 November 1918 and then heard them return in 1939. They had hoped that day in the past would last. Michael

Thank you for taking the time to listen to Glencoe. When I came across the story of Glencoe, I immediately took to it and over a day I penned the lyrics. The music was composed by Michael Quinn many months later. Also, after we released Scottish Highlands. Scottish Highlands has bagpipes. That process was very time consuming, and Michael and I felt we shouldn't replicate the bagpipes for Glencoe so that it stood apart. Glencoe was to have a sad but iconic sound. I wanted the video to point to King William for his orders ultimately bear the injustice. I also developed the video which took two days from copyright free material. Melissa did a fantastic job and brilliantly represented the 'weeping mothers call' that I felt as I imagined the night where the 'cold wind blowed'. I'm proud of Glencoe. Again, thank you for supporting Glencoe. Michael

Thankyou for your comments John, its just a shame that another viewer has so much time on thier hands that she has to criticise the video. Its supposed to be the song that was important. Some people have too much time on thier hands I guess.I think the song is great for a newcomer.Cant wait for more.

Well done, I can see you have tried to include some of the history in your video with the representation of Campbell’s soldiers whom were fighting under King Williams red coats when they butchered the Macdonalds.

No union flag at all at the time - there was no Union until 1707! And the soldiers who killed the people of the Glen were Scots under Glenlyon, not 18th century redcoats!

While it’s great you are sharing some history, I’ll just let you know the Scots you speak of were actual Archibald Campbell’s soldiers who were fighting the Macdonalds as a direct order from King William whom Campbell was a supporter off. Hence why I’d say they used the ‘red coats’ to represent this as you also see many depictions in artwork of them wearing the red coat. They probably did the video with this footage to represent this as it was the reason for the massacre, the soldiers fighting under King William wanting the Macdonalds to surrender his power.

A nice song, but some bagpipes to heighten the scottish theme would have finished this off.

The background to Woof Woof is I wrote the lyrics first then created the video before the music was created. I took it to Steve and Quinny and they embraced the concept. Steve wrote the music (so good) and helped by Quinny and some minor changes to the video and there you go. Its catchy and fun and played loud is the best. I'm glad people are enjoying it. We did making it. Hopefully on radio soon. M

I must say this is my favourite song. I found an emotion in the lyric and when I developed the imagery it really touched me at times as I was developing the video. It is still with me everytime I listen to Down Mystery Road. When Michael and I sat to develop the music he knew what he wanted and absolutely nailed everything about this song. What a special moment when James came and completed the picture with his drumming. The views are going up which is cool but more importantly people are seeing what is in this song. It is honest, it is caring and it stands up for Australian music.

Sunshine Summer Blind was picked up the Redland City Bulletin and it is our third article. We are so thankful for their support and Bay fm. The idea for the song came from my days at Coolangatta. Steve, James and Quinny worked their magic with the music. Can't you feel the summer in the video. I've written another song called 'Paradise under Sail' after watching Bobby's Sailing Doodles. Check it out really great stuff. Can't wait to work with the guys. Michael

We had such fun developing the music for 100 Floors Down. The sound is so good. I knew I had something special with the lyric and the idea catches you and takes you on a fast ride. Yes 100 Floors down will do that. We're glad you liked the song. Michael Quinn did a great job singing and creating the music. Yes James on drums what can you say. The best. Michael

Such is Life reportedly the last words of Ned Kelly. I thought he deserved a song on the 140th anniversary sing he was in the old Melbourne Jail. We think its a pub song and we would love to see a band take it on. If you are a band out there get on contact we can help with the music. Michael

O'Mama is a special song. When I wrote the lyrics and pitched it to Michael Quinn he immediately loved it. He had the record Bubble Gum Lemonade & something for Mama in the house as a kid. Straight away he had an idea for the music. What came out in the final wash was a bridge to the 40's and a simplier time. Well I hope Cass understands what we were going for with O'Mama. I sent the song to Owen (Cass Elliott's daughter) and we hoped she liked it. One day soon we might remix and develop a video. Michael

This song is a favourite of mine. One of the first lyric I wrote for a song. I was inspired to write the lyrics for One Moment after listening to Burt Bacharach and Barba Streisand singing together. They were just perfect weren't they. That feeling of please just one more time. I focussed on that and developed the song 'One Moment' with my best friend Michael Quinn who interrepted the feel and composed the music. Sung by Jess who did a great job bringing out that feeling I harboured deep inside when writing the lyrics. Michael

I thought I would give you some background to 9th Street. I was motivated after writing O'Mama (for Mama Cass) and I was watching the video for ‘East of the Sun (West of the Moon)’. I spotted a canopy in front of a New York hotel in the video which simply stated 35th East 9th Street. I thought wow what a great title for a song. So the story I developed was about a young couple finding their way to 35th East on 9th Street. They arrive under dark at the hotel and ready themselves for a night out at a club downtown. They move together in the dance of love and return under the New York skyline. A sensual encounter with sophistication and style. Michael
