Wow cool vid too bad I’m making one myself it’s taking longer and it’s different formula but guess what it’s mine and I made it and that’s all I care about😎(no shortcuts just spamming the (cos a,sin a)(or (sin a,cos a) depends on preference) and figuring out complex analysis maybe even quaternions just. to. make.. a… 3d cube on a 2d graph…probably worth it)

But what I do not understand, how do you know of the minimum distance that you need to shoot out your ray? I mean, how I udnerstood it, in ray tracing as opposed to ray marching, you would shoot out a ray from the camera and then calculate the distance at which it intersects with some object. Which is exactly what you are doing here to get the minimum distance. So you are first calculating the minimum distance same as in ray tracing, but then you do not calculate the distance to all the other objects for every ray, but instead you start on the circle with the minimum distance radius and form a new minimum distance radius and repeat until you reach every point on every object in the scene, correct?
