I think currently the franchise has changed the midgets into being juveniles. Jurassic World shows that Dilophosauurs could stand face to face with their iconic raptors and the other hologram animals seemed accurate or even smaller than the ones seen in the park and afterwards.

btw the dilo size in jp isn’t because of confusion with a raptor or something like that it’s because it’s a juvenile and they get about the same size as the real dilo when fully grown.
