Hi Avery, I’ve been using my copy of this lens for two years with no problems, and today when I picked it up the focus ring was completely jammed! It feels stiff between 1 foot to 3 feet, and then it won’t turn any more, do you know what could have caused this?
@averykevans6894
@averykevans6894 4 ай бұрын
Could be any number of things. After 50ish years the helicoid lubricant could have finally given up or hardened, there could be debris blocking any of the moving parts, something could have broken or could have become unattached. You can't be certain until you open it up.
