Is it possible to get back True Tone after that? I managed to do this and even programs shows correct serial numbers for ambient light sensor and flood illuminator but I can’t get back True Tone to work, even using original screen.

Great video. Have a deep discharged battery and no boot logo or any graphics. Power cycling @ 70-280mA. Will not cold boot / reset. Will open it up and check for possible bad caps. Thanks for posting!!

I have an A1822 with a short, draws 830ma. At 5:50 that diode marked "BF" is getting hot. If I remove it, no power. I replaced it, but no change. What am I doing wrong?

Perhaps a late comment but this means something after this diode is consuming too much current. With no power, check the resistance to ground at connection after this diode. You may have a shorted capacitor. You can find it with an adjustable power supply set to 1 volt but 3-5A and IPA (alcohol). The IPA will evaporate faster when the injection is done. That is the shorted part.

Q2300 is shorted on my iPhone 6s Plus but if I remove the ic, the short will be gone but if I put it back or even replace it the short comes back.

Q2300 is a mosfet and it gets hot because it has a short on the source.

Yesterday, i found wifi greyed out and no microphone working. I replace audio ic and run 4 jumpers because 2 pads was missing. After repair microphone working and wifi woriking. In the past i did not meet greyed out wifi caused by audio ic. This was on ios 12.4 very old ios customer did not update ios. Very nice job i will put on my channel my audio ic repair.

I think this happens frequently when upgrading to new versions of iOS. Apple always claims that the update didn't break the device, but that it "revealed" the problem with the device. I call BS because the device was working perfectly before the update. So to answer your question, Apple will never admit to such an issue, and if you are out of warranty, they will say you just need to buy a new iPad. If you are under warranty or Applecare, then they will probably replace the device.

HAWKEYE4040 the capacitor. The chip did heat at first so I removed it and see what line is shorted under the Tigris 2
