Great video! However it is a little misleading if you maintain a larger dividend growth than stock price appreciation. It’s fine in the short term but in the long term it is not possible to maintain this type of skewed growth rate. Something to keep in mind for long term investors.

One of the most important things before you try to retire is get the sequence of returns right. Which is why growth investing should be switched to income investing several years before you plan to retire. Anyone who decided to stick with growth investing better hope the market doesn't crash the year they retire or they will run outta money most likely.

Thats the importance of conducting thorough research, consider the long-term outlook of the companies, and diversify your investments to manage risk effectively.

I’d be interested to see the performance by dividend income for all of these players vs the S&P 500. Considering the soaring inflation, how can I possibly safeguard and grow $350k cash reserve into a 7 figure ballpark for the next 2 years?

My dividend journey began when I realized that two particular expenses in my budget were always going to go up and never go down. The two expenses were taxes and insurance. I realized that the dramatic rise in both will need some added income. So, I started buying shares paying dividends. I can now see that this will be the path I need to take to make sure those two expenses will not overtake my future income.

Be weary of these CC ETFs. Their NAV deteriorates substantially in a down market, because the options can’t be rolled. Cc options rely on the underlying being in contango, and when things shift to backwardation, risk jumps a lot. Not saying it’s a bad etf, just calling out the risk if the market isn’t sideways or up.

Huge fan of MAIN but since it's really expensive right now I'll probably buy into PFLT

When GOF was below NAV this channel wasn’t optimistic about the dividend. Now that it’s well above NAV the report is it’s never cut its dividend. Such BS.

My favorite BDCs have always been MAIN as # 1 with PFLT in a close # 2.
