People forget that the movies were not bad but the vocal majority of older fans were upset at not seeing the bigger picture - episode 2 and 3 weren’t even hinted at yet. All they knew was that death Vader was now this little kid after so many fan theories And imagined lore.

Yeah, a lot of franchises are dusting off their old hits instead of writing new ones. Trek is a good example of why; They do something new, like Picard and Discovery's first seasons, Prodigy and Lower Decks and what do the fans do? Dump on it until they change everything. Disco got made more "Classic Trek-like" like (going as far as casting new Chris Pike and Spock) Picard's final boring-ass season was just Next Generation season 8, to almost universal fan acclaim. Strange New Worlds is literally The Original Series 2.0 Meanwhile, Lower Decks gets cancelled and Prodigy gets retconned out of existence. All the while fans keep shouting for a new legacy show, with legacy characters, once again bumbling around on the Enterprise. People don't want "new and interesting" they want the same thing over and over again and it gets a little tiring. (I'm that side out today, apparently.)

Asohka is almost a series sequel to Rebels.

I had zero expectations for the Hobbit trilogy because the best Hobbit adaptation was made in 1977. I thought season 1 of RoP was decent and was genuinely surprised by the reactions I found elsewhere. Maybe I'm just a brainlet with bad taste because I didn't predict Sauron at all. I think a lot of the hate is also just derpshits mad that there were black elves and dwarves. Daily reminder to bully Hanna into watching Yellowjackets.

I was definitely too young to have any taste when I watched this movie, and yeah, it's aged very poorly. Then again, the creators _knew_ by the time they released it that it wasn't a great movie. You can find behind-the-scenes and making-of videos, even reactions to the rough cut. Everyone is so frustrated because the movie was created in a way that it was difficult to alter, so they couldn't do much to salvage it.

I loved that boys trailer. You know it makes you feel awful, and there is some pretty shocking imagery, but you cant quite put a finger on what is so bad about it. My face was exactly the same.

The new movie is a animated movie about Rohirrim - things seem very promising so I wouldn't write it off. It's name is The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim. The hobbit trilogy was awful and really bad. Peter Jackson got this dumped on him by the previous director(?) and had to fix a lot of stuff in a half a year, but was sick for a month of it or something.

What you need to watch: You do have to finish Rebels before Ahsoka, but Mandalorian S3 should be watched after Book of Boba Fett, because there's a couple of episodes where Mando turns up in Boba's show. If you haven't watched Andor yet, I highly recommend it. It's some of the best Star Wars content Disney has made. The only thing you need to watch first is Rogue One. It uses three episode story arcs, so think of each arc to be one long episode.

I think my main source of enjoyment from this movie, was because it was the first Star Wars I ever got to see in theaters. The prequals lacked the grittiness' of the originals, and Anakin annoyed the hell out of me in the movies. How desperate and lonely was Amidala that she picked that winey arrogant edge lord? If it weren't for the clone wars I would still hate him.

First Season of Rings of Power broke my book Loving heart, don't know if there can be done enough to mend it. You called the first Season pretty, i would add empty. A Problem the new Starswars Trillogy also had. Beware the fearsome Army of the powerfull nation of Numenor. It is.....2 Ships. Oh no, the numerous hordes of orcs are atacking the humans of the southlands, there are about...something like...200ish of them. oh no, a horde of size never seen before. The Lord of the Ring Movies felt grand and full of life. This does not. And i think thats really sad comparing the budgets, though it allready is kind of obvious that the billion dollar budget did not go to the movie entirely i guess....

You'll definitely want to watch Gen V before this season. The aftermath of that show looks to be a major plot point for season 4. Maybe they'll do a recap once the season starts, but it's still worth checking out.
