Если бы концы фраз скрипач не обрывал, а дослушивал, пропала бы суета, дискомфорт, бах заиграл бы новыми красками, а так пронеслись конями по степи.

Are the grimaces there to entertain the viewer. The music conveys the composers message I .feel that it is staged when done to excess. I do not need this,it disturbs the rendering.After 80 yrs of playing, I love the calm deep concentration of a sincere talented performer. Take Horowitz as an example.

Deafening most times,I wanted a sublime reading at times. Not to denounce her skill,but some things have to be sorted.Oh my goodness the Scriabin has tenderness-so it can be achieved !

I love love love how Polina has expressed this, time is not of an essence, but rather emotion is. And I love the Estonia piano, it sort of simulates a Fortepiano. Absolutely mesmorizing.

Interprétation très intéressante par sa liberté et son originalité qui restitue d'autant plus l'esprit de la forme créée par Bach, variations au sein des Variations. Ne cessons pas de varier, d'être autre en demeurant le même ! Un bis très beau : la Sicilienne du Concerto pour Orgue BWV 596.

Every few years on KZfaq or Spotify I come across an artist that captures my imagination and heart. That enchants and becomes almost an obsession, where I find myself wanting to learn more about them, their life, their training and of course listen to and watch all of their performances. As of yesterday I came across Polina as she will be accompanying Maxim Vengerov at the Sydney Opera house in August so I decided to search her on KZfaq. I was instantly captivated. I am 45 years old, a piano teacher who has been playing the piano for over 35 years and is familiar with and has heard all of the world renowned pianists past and present. This performance ("magic") is by far the most profound playing I have ever heard. Ever. It was as if a Goddess descended from the heavens upon earth and time stood still for 25 minutes in that hall. Her golden tone, sense of phrasing, fire, elegance, communication of thought and emotion are phenomenal. I did not think it was possible to reach such heights as a musician. Why did she become overwhelmed with emotion throughout? What memories may have this music triggered? I am fascinated. Words really fail to express what I am feeling. She is perhaps the greatest and most sensitive pianist I have ever heard. Thank you Polina Osetinskaya for making us feel deeply human and for transporting us to other realms through your exquisite mastery of music and the piano. The world is a better place because of your gift that you share with us. Never stop. I will be thinking about this performance for days. ❤

Vengerov has very much to say about Bach; he is aware of the latest "correct" style, but doesnt let it become a straightjacket.
