Magic She is simply one of the best pianist today

It is an amazingly serene experience for us, esp. In these turbulent times. I can't help but think how a newborn or child would react to this. It would be the most peaceful and perfect lullaby. Polina has a deep understanding of Bach music.

I have heard this piece played so many times; this is the rendition that has always played in my own mind. The compassion with which Ms Osetinskaya approaches Bach is breathtaking.

Polina, I don`t know you ever will read this, but I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the hours I listend to many music interpretations played by you. You make a difference!

The visual should not intrude into one's appreciation of music but I confess that this elegant figure, alone at the keyboard, in a simple black dress [she always seemms to wear a black dress for public recitals and concerts] adds to the limpid beauty of her music. It is difficult, visually, as well as aurally, to resist her infinite charm of presence as well as er consumate musicianship. It is so exquisite and restful. Just the conditions to listen to Bach.

After listening to Osetinskaya performing several Bach pieces I'm left with an unexpected impression. I have the feeling that she allows the music to play itself, and she iis just the carrier of it. She doesn't impose herself on the piece. I love a lot of Bach renditions by others, but in them I feel as if the pianist is showing his or her interpretation. With Osetinskaya, it's the music.

As a pianist, I can really appreciate the difficulty in making those mid range voices so clear when you're also playing chords with high notes. The polyphony is not lost on me. Truly one of the most difficult aspects of the piano, and she does it effortlessly. Great tempo control, as well.

A profound Osetinskaya admire. There is something intimate but shared and with profound conviction. She commands attention and reception.

I reckon she plays it better than the chap who wrote this transcription- Petri. His version is also on KZfaq and he plays it a tad faster but also a bit mechanically. It’s still lovely. This a the best I’ve heard so far.
