I have tried this so many times but it never comes out looking nice and neat do you need to snip the overlay before tucking it outside the underlay?

Hi! Do you only stitch around the edges or do you also stitch to secure the middle parts of the appliqué?

Hi, help please x could I do this approach to any corset pattern I have? I want to create a mini dress without a middle line. Would it work for me to do the maths approach you wrote out. E.g my hips/how many panel pieces and how far down my hips are and making sure each pattern piece has that length the distance down

May i ask if you would keep the lining skirt and the main sequinned skirt if this dress had a slit in it. Im trying to imagine how you would compensate if client wanted a slit. Because i prefer lining especially with sequinned fabric too but i cant wrap my head around how you would do it.

I want to make my own bead embellished lace coat that will go over an a line satin bridal gown. My question is, do I make the coat out of say, chantilly lace, than add the extra details? Or make a coat out of embellished lace? I’m a quilter, not a dress maker so I’m not sure where to start. Help!

Hello, I wondered if you have, or would make a video drafting a corset/bustier from scratch, using someone’s measurements? You often use your own pattern, but I would be interested in watching you draft from scratch. I have just started learning to draft my own patterns and like to watch different people and their own methods.

Thank you for your help, so kind of you. I’m getting but old for fancy work these days but my grandchildren are asking for engagement party, and yr 12 formal outfits 😵💫. Of course they dont have patterns for me. This formal dress is pre knee operation needs to be done before end July. Boning never don’t that before, I found your part 1 just fantastic, it looks great, making my job heaps easier. It is a wonderful feeling being creative, providing not too many complications. I wish you well in your life’s venture. Best wishes .

I have watched about a dozen tutorials and you are the only one who gave two pieces of very important information to start making the pattern! One was not to draw down to the hinge and the other was why add some allowance to the side frame (so it’s not super tight). Thank you for those details!
