Question for ya, planning on going with a couple of friends but when you went how heavy was security around there?
@ObscuristTourist
@ObscuristTourist 7 сағат бұрын
There was absolutely no security. I knew someone who went there recently, and he also said he had no issues. I would suggest, especially with a group of friends, walking in completely silence to listen for noises and other voices to determine if security is on site. It’s always better to be aware of them before they are aware of you and then to maneuver accordingly. Good luck!

Lived in Bisbee in 92-3 , as a year of big city detox after moving west, from Boston. It was quite a huge change…but much needed. (Anyone remember Muddys? Renaissance Cafe? I worked at both) Though at that point, before internet, it proved to be too isolated for my then 20 something lifestyle needs. I didn’t move far, just to Tucson… so occasionally I take a day trip to walk around the steps in Tombstone canyon.

I live in OKC. I'm still not sure what will become of this building. It was supposed to be demolished, and then it was put up for sale. I wish the city could convert it into another mental health facility or affordable housing.

You can still get there. It’s private property, but it’s possible. Security does drive around the road leading to the tunnel, but it’s mostly for dam maintenance.

I've never been through Medusa's Cave before, but it looks very similar to Frankie's Cave ( by Orenda Rd and Birchbank ), which I've been through many times as a kid in the 80's.

The City of Bramalea wouldn't have put those gates on. If they were 1973 or before, it was Township of Chinguacousy, City of Brampton afterwards.
@ObscuristTourist

Yep. However, these gates would have been put on in the late 1990s or early 2000s. They certainly weren’t there in the 1980s.

Really, I went in march & happened to be there during the motor cycle festival. I LOVED IT, also when we were in one of the stores a ghost touched my grandmas hair. My body is wanting to visit that town again like it’s calling me to go back. It’s such a weird comforting feeling. Why was it creepy to you? We stayed in sierra vista because everything was booked in Bisbee that weekend.

Bramalea was NEVER a suburb of Brampton. It was developed as a separate town to the east of Brampton. "Canada's first planned community" was how it was advertised. The "cave" is the result of the diversion of the creek around the City Centre. It allows for flow underneath Peel Centre Drive, and exits on the south side of Clark Blvd. It's called Medusa's Cave because there was already Frankie's Cave next to Birchbank, which is/was even longer. Medusa's cave dates to the construction of the City Centre in the early 70's. Frankie's dates from the 60's. It's easier to navigate, as it just parallels Orenda Road.

Maybe ten years ago they bolted iron gates on both ends of the cave to stop people going in. The other end is a park on the other side of the mall. Walking through the park one day I saw the iron gate was half hanging off the entrance and bent. Like nothing a normal human could do. Really added to the legend of Medusas

I very much enjoyed seeing amazing Bisbee through your eyes. Your unique and relatable perspective is unlike others vlogs that I have watched. I have yet to visit this charming, soul-captivating town, but from this video, Bisbee makes a similar impression in my mind as Asheville, NC. And like Asheville, it has struck a chord in my heart. I look forward to visiting some day soon.

Nice video. Spam is one of those foods that you either love it or you hate it. I like the tabasco Spam or the correct term is Hot and Spicy Spam. Unless the can gets damaged, rust or dents, Spam is a food that is still good well after the expiration date on the can. When you entered the British section of the museum, it reminded me of the classic Monty Python "SPAM" sketch. If you haven't seen it, it is funny. Surprised it was not playing on a monitor in that section of the museum. I thought I heard the song playing that they sing in that sketch. It's only two or three minutes long.
