How has the ball valve held up to SH?

You'll have to replace the ball valve probably twice a year depending upon the volume of usage. SH has a way of destroying everything it touches eventually.

I suggest testing a small, inconspicuous area first before going all in. On new stains, it might work. You may not have any luck with older stains. It just depends.

The wire coming from the battery is a 16 gauge wire if I'm not mistaken. i bought a spool of wire and one of red then I used some heat-shrink tubing over them to keep them together. Hope that helps.

@@williamseith4267 I since found the valve with the 3 way on it. So I can hook up my water tank and bleach tank to the same valve. It will just switch from bleach to water. Switch to water it will flush out the electric valve. Going that route. 75.00 vs 35.00 so its a no brainer.

How do I hook up the third hose for water like south east soft wash has there's? So when you switch it back to water it also rinses out the downstream injector. Is there an adaptor I plug two hoses into bleach and water then it goes to one hose to plug into the electric ball valve?

Hi, this would also work for softwashing right, bc this just helps pull chem / Water / Soap right? Thanks
@williamseith426711 ай бұрын
So this setup would not be a good fit for a softwash system. You need to build a metering valve setup for that because your mix is usually 50% SH and 50% water. That gives you the 6% bleach strength you need to clean roofs. Downstreaming for siding with a 1-2% mix is ok for this system.
@iamjacksundyingaddiction659511 ай бұрын
@@williamseith4267 isn't this pretty much like a flowpro
@williamseith426711 ай бұрын
@@iamjacksundyingaddiction6595 I'm not that familiar with the Flowpro which looks like a pretty good product. It also looks like that unit uses an automated DN10 ball value which diverts pressurized water from the pressure washer through the bypass system. I really like that. It's actually a better setup. My system only turns the soap on/off but the flow of water still goes through the downstream valve. All in all that system looks like a pretty good product for the money.
@mariotrice85411 ай бұрын
Good information. I bought the same setup and that is how the manufacturer designed it. Unfortunately I'm only using a 4gpm unit. I'm curious what you did/doing w/ the old hose reels? New ones are so expensive.

Thanks for the tutorial, but I have an issue, I bought 2 valves, i built the first one following every step, and it worked, the valve opened, but when I turn it off, it doesn’t close. I thought maybe the valve was bad, so I tried the other one, and same thing, after it opened, it wouldn’t close again. Any idea why? Has anyone came across this issue also ? 🤔
@EduardoGonzalez-nn5pg11 ай бұрын
Also, switch polarity on the valve, I connected negative to positive and positive to negative, and it closed.
@williamseith426711 ай бұрын
I'd check how you have the switch wired. If you look closely at the wire colors you can see that the red/white wires from the battery enter the corrugated split tube but when they come out one is red and the other appears to be black. The white wire has "black heat-shrink" tubing on it making it appear to be black but that's the white wire from the batter. Hope that helps
