I never bonded with my mom even as an infant. She was so neglectful and absent I feel like i dont even know what im missing out on.

There is so much truth to this, and I agree.... and this is how many systems work. Systems beget systems. Most are caught up in it but kind of know that, and try to blend their values into the system. There is still art and writing and marveling at life. It is painful though to not feel valued. Everyone is valuable.
@beyondpsychology_eu11 күн бұрын
It is, but I do like your contribution how we are still adding art and trying our best. How there’s still beauty and awareness and the beautiful experience called life 🕊️

What you say is very true. But ..here is the but of course, we live in a capitalistic society. Pure Socialism doesn’t work here. Places like Finland where the trash collector is equal to the surgeon are unique because they have a smaller population. I wish we could find a way to make it make sense short of moving to another country. Perhaps if the entire world woke up contemporaneously and realized that we are all equal, that we are all one and stopped pushing aside or stepping on others to get ahead, then we would all demilitarize and put the defense spending money to good use toward a Utopia. But how can that ever happen? The mind fears because it thinks we are separate. We teach our kids to fear because we think they need to in order to survive. We have the teachings of Jesus, Buddha, Ghandi etc. all saying love the poor because we are all one, but we ignore them. We distort the teachings. What else can be done?

Thanks for your take. I agree. Shortly, I think our next step(s) should be to integrate our shadows and dismantle the oppressive systems inside of us, without shame. Acknowledging our own contributions to it. Not love and light it away, but get very real and honest.

This is so on point! I have certainly suppressed anger completely. I thought it was a useless emotion. I got angry once in highschool and blacked out and every since then I got rid of it.

I agree with everything you said except for blaming it on society or capitalism or whatever.... These issues have been around since way before capitalism or modern society. Thankfully we know now how to fix these issues in ourselves. It is on us to train others, especially the next generation, on how to help and heal rather than deflect and blame
@emiliascharm4693Ай бұрын
I want to thank you 🙏💙 Today I expressed anger in a way I hardly ever do. It was just a loud response to a very usual bully atitude. I was surprised of myself and on porpoise I let myself repeat louder. The person was confused but I didn't explain. This is after few days doing your somatic meditation. I usually freeze and no respond

Thank you, it makes so much sense. It seems counterintuitive and is certainly subversive in the constant self-improvement culture we live in. You are a true revolutionary, Myrthe, and I love that! 😊 I guess allowing the sense of failure in me, and not fighting it with trying to do more, helps to process it and move on. And then actually do more. 😁
@beyondpsychology_euАй бұрын
Thank you Agata. And yes, that’s it! That’s exactly what I meant! The more you ‘fight’ it by telling yourself to do more, the more you prove yourself you’re not enough right now.

Thankyou so much for this. I broke down yesterday feeling exactly this. I haven't been able to cry properly for decades. I have been onna spiritual awakening and finally the tears are flowing, it seems just as I make progress more wounds are coming up. More layers are shedding and there is so much hurt and vulnerability underneath. You are such a beautiful soul, keep doing what you are doing, there is such value to your words and work ❤❤❤ 🙏 love and light xjxxx

I've felt awkward with knowing that I have been there and find it hard to accept. The sermons that come with fighting off the negative and replace your defeated spirit with a fighters spirit. I couldn't agree more on how that seems to go but so far before feeling defeated all over again. Does anyone have an idea how that seems to act like a placebo from the medicine cabinet. I just have gotten to think maybe our approach in life should be of a working mindset. Like a job we grow tired of but realize it's something we have to put and invest more time than we thought we had. There is no quick fix no shortcut and no escape. This is why the world promotes alcohol professional sports to follow film and stage entertainment. This is the sure way to lose yourself in the victory of others while you return to a less than productive life. I'm happy in knowing there awaits a better version of ourselves thru a relentless and consistent pursuit than that of the influence of others.

Thanks for sharing and adding. It’s definitely something like that. Do you know the concept / term: ‘The Absurd Hero’ from Albert Camus? Resonates a bit with what you write.

I resonate so much with this. The perfectionism I experience prevents me from starting. It's different to the perfectionism that has someone always doing something perfect and not being able to leave it alone until perfection is reached
