The marks on the maple tree are Yellow Bellied Sapsucker wells. They are a cool woodpecker! I am also close to the perkiomen and and grew up in Emmaus, gonna do some searching on gravel bars this summer. Loved the vid!

You are awesome! Boy would i be surprised to see you huntn along lol. I hunt the same creek & surrounding areas & counties. Points are tough finding in the perk but they are there, try closer to the res. I have more luck in fields in this area. For every point ive found here in the creeks i find pocketfuls of flakes and tools first. Slow hunting here but some honey holes around, it def aint missouri. Good luck! Subbed

Your observations of the charcoal was interesting, as over time soil builds up. That charcoal was very old,we have old firepits exposed on eroded river banks where known Indian village sites. The stuff that falls into the water just builds up.

Why couldn't I have met a woman like you when I was 23 and newly Discharged from the Marines!! I've hunted Indian Artifacts since I was 7 and I'm 68 now. Your knowledge of materials and artifacts is amazing! You know where to look and why, which is key and I am having trouble expaining to this young 39 year old man who request that I teach him how to find Indian Artifacts. Here in Indiana I have found Paleolithic points ( Clovis) 3 sites 5 Clovis points, Pine Tree, St.Charles Dove Tail, Fulton Turkey Tails, And my favorite Thebes. He wants to find what I've found, NOW! 😂 KEEP MAKING YOUR VIDEOS ON NOT JUST ARTIFACTS!!

Remember that song about looking for love in the wrong places. Thats you. Looking for arrowheads in the wrong places.. Any native settlements in your area would be relatively small (50-100), recent, and nomadic. The best places to look are in Missouri and Tennessee and south. In warmer climates native settlements were much, much larger, and somewhat permanent. Find a good creek in Arkansas and you will 100 arrowheads in the same amount of searching time. You cant even find one arrowhead. Start looking in the right places.

@user-by8ix6en9s
@user-by8ix6en9s Ай бұрын
Lol.....I bought that same handheld scoop with "screening holes" to use in one of the creeks I search. It was pretty ineffective for me because "my" creeks are more sandy than gravelly and pebbly like the creek you're exploring. Amazing amount of waste (and used) flakes in your creek. Jasper and high-quality flint in "your" creek! The points/arrowheads/tools have to be in and around that creek! They are possibly out of sight, just under what you can see....maybe.....probably. Would be shocked if you do not find amazing things there. Good luck!
