Definitely a quartz tip! I'm from Central Georgia and have several hundred quarts points . We find different kinds of chert and flints but mostly quartz points. Thats a great spot you just need to find where they were camping!

I love the fact that you know where to look and why!! I'm 68 and this young man asked me to teach him how to find Indian artifacts. Hardest part is where to look and WHY.

@7:24 most definitely a tool. When I was young I must have picked up a hundred blades and tools and threw them back down thinking it was nothing because it was not an arrowhead! Just a small tid bit of advice from an old man...Keep everything, most especially the stuff that "might could be." @2:27 Tip of arrowhead @14:20 knife (Would have been hafted.) Keep up the great work!

I call it flint, from flint knapping. At least thats what i leaned from the old timers. So cool ive found another lady rockhound who hunts alone. I found something yesterday that I still cannot believe. But surely you know how it is not being able to put it on blast 😭 Perhaps it will be named in honor of me someday? Anyway, its raining today and here's another good find right here on KZfaq. Something relaxing and enjoyable for me. Good job girl. Gotta find em before they're gone. Be well

You are awesome! Boy would i be surprised to see you huntn along lol. I hunt the same creek & surrounding areas & counties. Points are tough finding in the perk but they are there, try closer to the res. I have more luck in fields in this area. For every point ive found here in the creeks i find pocketfuls of flakes and tools first. Slow hunting here but some honey holes around, it def aint missouri. Good luck! Subbed

That mustard colored jasper is typical of what's in Vera Cruz Pa. There's a park called Jasper Park there- you can't collect, but its where the native Americans quarried.

Remember that song about looking for love in the wrong places. Thats you. Looking for arrowheads in the wrong places.. Any native settlements in your area would be relatively small (50-100), recent, and nomadic. The best places to look are in Missouri and Tennessee and south. In warmer climates native settlements were much, much larger, and somewhat permanent. Find a good creek in Arkansas and you will 100 arrowheads in the same amount of searching time. You cant even find one arrowhead. Start looking in the right places.

I'd agree with you that Shagbark Hickory is probably one of my favorite trees. I've had a few that fell and I slabbed them into boards for axe handles and whatnot. It seems you have an area that will produce some nice points. I just sub"d. Happy hunting!

I drive over that bridge all the time to go to the bay. There has to be stuff down where you are. Especially in streams that dump into such a major river. Don't stop looking, I found my first point after years, when I wasn't even looking
