Can you imagine both Randall and Mike Vick playing in this era...cash

Where are the 1991 Eagles? Check the stats. I'd put them up against any team - Reggie White, Jerome Brown, Seth Joyner, Clyde Simmons, Eric Allen.

Errors galore: Patriots missed the playoffs in 2002, Patriots made the Super Bowl in 2011 (and lost it)

Most of the time there was almost no blocking by the linemen when Randall played with the Eagles. That is why he had the injuries. When the ball was shifted back to him, it was time to run for his life. As a Philly fan, I was excited by both of them. But when Randall was quarterback, you knew that anything was possible. He often made big yards out of nothing. There was the 91-yard punt, and the time he leaped over two defenders, one of which was trying to tackle him high, while the other was going low. The truth is, Cunningham was ahead of his time. Neither the game nor the coaching were prepared to truly utilize his talents.

I consider the ‘85 Bears the best single season team in NFL history, and if Buddy Ryan would have stayed, more rings would have been on the teammates fingers
@dennismumford61085 ай бұрын
Marq---your title says it all and describes Marino's overall Career very accurately. It doesn't matter if a QB has any Rings, but it does matter how he played when his team had a chance for success. That is where Marino was a failure. In 75% of his biggest games he was a failure---because of the way he played--mediocre to bad--- and it resulted in 3 losses for him and his team.
@dennismumford61085 ай бұрын
Here are Dan's stats for those 3 Champ. game losses---he had 4 TD's but 6 INT's and 2 fumbles, an avg. Rating of 59, and he led his offense to an avg. of only 12 p.p.g. How can a team win championships when their QB is playing like that ?? They can't and the Dolphins didn't. That represents his S.B. and 2 Conf. Champ. games.
@dennismumford61085 ай бұрын
Marino in a way agrees with you by the way---here is a quote of his made after his S.B. loss--"I'd trade every Record we broke to be Super Bowl Champs". All he wanted to do was play good enough to help his team win a S.B., but he was not able to do that.

Also don’t like this title. Should have one for the Bills and Vikings. 4 SB losses.
@ericsilberstein6675 ай бұрын
Dan Marino was the best. He just didn’t have a great team around him, especially in the 90s. He did help the Dolphins win more games than lost. With him they were many winning seasons, AFC East titles and playoff appearances. He carried that team on his arm. So considering that, he did pretty well, even with only one Super Bowl appearance and loss. And his final game was sabotaged. Jimmy Johnson was a fraud. If he had what Jim Kelly had, John Elway, and Montana, he would’ve been back to the Super Bowl and would have one more than a few times. Great Hall of Famer.
@pikachuthegayatheist62155 ай бұрын
Yeah now they’re playing on a field that’s only 60 yards instead of 100, and now it’s a flag football game instead of a real game. That you how far from football the pro-bowl has gone.

To me rodgers is the best thrower of the football I've ever seen, not even mahomes has that type of arm talent. Peyton is the greatest quaterback to ever play the position
@jamesmcnamee72936 ай бұрын
You didn't understand that Randall had literally one of the worst OL in the history of the NFL. Randall was under constant pressure every snap and faced Lawrence Taylor twice a year. Vick also had Warwick Dunn supporting him as a RB. Randall had no one.

It was appropriate that the NFL was called an association in the early 20s. In fact that’s what it was until 1936. When it truly became a league. Because until then, there was no set schedule. And teams played a different number of games. one of the definitions of the word league in terms of sports is that all teams play a set schedule and the same number of games. And of course it’s not the Chicago Stanleys. It’s the Chicago Staleys.

Stupid. Very stupid. Picking Trubisky based on stats compiled in garbage time of blowout losses shows you know NOTHING about the Bears. Cutler never won anything at any level of play. So you pick an idiot and a loser as your QBs? That's a non-starter.

Good opportunites? '84 was his only chance and unfortunately Miami faced a much better defense than they faced all year and their own defense was shown to be sub-par at best. '85 lost to the Patriots in the AFC champs game and were well beaten in that game as NEP ran all over the porous defense as the Bills did for the next decade. Shula forgot what it takes to win ... defense and running the ball, they also never replaced Duper & Clayton and blew 1st round picks on a regular basis. Dont blame Marino for Shula's failures to draft/ trade to make the Dolphins better. Dan carried the team from 85 onwards.

Both was awesome players and they both changed the game NOW that I said that Randall Cunningham played almost every game in philly with a make shift offensive line Mike Vick had the luxury to play with a much more stable line. Randall Cunningham didn't see a good offensive line until he got to Minnesota.

With great respect from a Bills fan, I enjoyed taunting and talking trash to the fish’s fans. It felt great to see the greatest passer with his fab four destroyed 2 or 3 times yearly.
@gregtrust55994 ай бұрын
Imagine if Marino was in Buffalo with 6 other Hall of Famers? The bills wouldve gone 4-0 instead of 0-4. Kelly in Miami would be laughable, Kelly playing with no HoF teammates with the dolphins probably doesn't get to the HoF either

Cunningham’s downfall was the reoccurring Achilles injury , his 98 comeback was unreal , he was retired and came out of retirement in 97 and had a monster 98 season . Vicks downfall was doing illegal stuff

you can't say failure, that is an extreme negative. elite, in the goat pack, but not the # 1 goat. for a decade or so, he was the # 1 goat. Now, the # 1 goat is MAHOMES. MARINO # 1 from 84 - 90's, till FAVRE and co. broke records, leading to future goat qb's. was brady, now mahomes. TL on the way ? go jville !
